You guys see that big crazy insane laugh he does while firing? That's in the game, it actually looks and sounds like that. When you're killed, the camera does a quick snap-zoom up to your killer and freeze-frames it, and if you're killed by a Heavy you get a freeze-frame of this big beefy Russian dude with this massive grin on his face lit up by a muzzle flash. It is awesome.
Seriously, I am not exaggerating when I say Team Fortress 2 is one of the most gorgeous games I have ever played.

I think these videos are in the same vein as the Raving Rabbids promo videos that were released before the game came out. Raving Rabbids probably wouldn't have got so much love (that you are seeing in this very thread) from the internet if it wasn't for those little shorts.epmode said:

I think I quite like how Team Fortress 2 seems to have an emphasis on the players picking a character they'd like to be, instead of what class is the "best to play".
Looking at the medic in the earlier trailers, he looked more like someone who'd rather not revive you, if you please (which if I recally, is practically what medics were like in original TF - they were much better at bio-grenading your ass to kingdom come).

My guess would be that the PC online community is going to have MUCH longer legs than the Xbox Live online community. It doesn't seem that on Xbox Live you get numerous games that can sustain a large online community for a long time as much as you can on the PC. Obviously on the PC some games still dominate, like CS, but I'd be very surprised if the Xbox Live TF2 online scene was bigger and longer-lasting than the PC one.epmode said:

Team Fortress 2 sounds awesome, but we'll see. I LOVED Quake's TF but hated every 'remake' of it since.
The video was funny and well done, it almost seemed a little creepy / scary to the theme I thought they were going for (basically, the Incredibles), but still good. It's odd they were saying the facial animations were showing off the new Radeon cards' power (at least on GS) because it didn't seem technically impressive at all.
I hope these are converted well and play well on 360, especially. I've found lately that I simply cannot enjoy or get into PC games anymore.
One specific question, the console versions are called the 'orange box' right? Does the 360 version come with HL2 and HL2 EP. 1? I've played them fully on my PC, but I'd like to know if they're coming too. If so, how will they fit all that on one disk?
