Only with TF2 is a free update with three brand new maps considered disappointing.

They're just low quality maps though. Watergate is a sticky bomb Demo's dream.

I love the TF2 and CS: GO markets. People like me happily get free money while other people happily get their new skin/hat/whatever while Valve get their own cut.
Probably should get into DOTA 2, too.

This is exactly what's going on through my mind. Bring on new content. If it's free, it's always going to be amazing no matter what. Gonna love that consistent support!

There's no money to be made from playing Dota 2 anymore (except for professional players) since treasure chests were phased out and all ingame drops are now untradeable and unmarketable.

I get the people who say that the update is disappointing, updates of this magnitude usually used to come with new weapons, and so far we haven't had anything but reskins since 2014. Valve seems to have taken the approach of repurposing little used weapons now instead of adding new weapons to the game, which means big content updates like this now just have reskins that are gated behind RNG case openings where before there used to be new weapons to experiment with, which made the updates (which have become fewer and further inbetween) feel much more significant.

Does anyone know any decent TF2 servers that has a pretty standard rotation (don't mind custom maps just nothing too crazy)? (Preferably in the EU). Used to play on a server from Italy but it's pretty much dead now and the majority in the browser appear to be silly maps/rules or just one map.
