Tecmo-Koei Europe asks on Twitter if we want Ar Nosurge Localization . . .

https://twitter.com/tecmokoeieurope/status/469706093409873921

"@Sterkenburg0: @tecmokoeieurope Is there any hope left for Ciel nosurge and Ar nosurge?” -- How many of our #TKfamily wishes for this one?"

It's a little old, but only 10 replies and plus after E3 . . . NOTHING. Almost no hope for it here, but I know there's folks that would want to play this locally! Let's make some noise!

It strikes me that if you actually want to know the answer (and this isn't just a way to build hype), it'd be much better if you presented the question in terms of opportunity cost; make it a clear either/or choice. After all, it's not like anyone's going to reply to that saying "Nah, not for me, thanks."

I don't use twitter but I'll make an account to pitch in support for this. If the localization is good I'd be down for buying it again.

It's a really great game, imo one of Gust's best and in-line with AT2. People should play it. It's probably the last time we'll ever see this series. :(

Still weeping over what a letdown the third game was.

Tweeted at them, hoping this game is a return to form.
It totally makes up for AT3 and then some.

ArNo was profitable so I wouldn't count it out just yet. I recall TKJapan saying something like it was important to their bottom line.

That said, I'm kind of hoping for a new IP from Gust as well so kinda torn as to what I'd hope to see.

I don't use Twitter and if the company wants input from their audience then they shouldn't restrict themselves to closed social networks like Twitter and Facebook.

I don't think it's necessarily them restricting, but this is the means I'm going to be using to reach out to them which is social media.

Or just set up a Google poll. It's free and anyone can answer.

Setting up a twitter account is free. Don't be so lazy, game companies use twitter all the time for interest checks. If you don't want a personal account, make one under a fake name, whatever. Nobody is going to check neogaf of all places.

If you've never played an ar tonelico game, please don't go trolling in this thread.

I never have but I think it's fine to say that it is, for me, better to invest in a game/series like NA than one which I will never play because I can't stand the aesthetics.

The aesthetics still aren't "moe".

Almost as "moe" as it gets in a game with such a graphic style. You know, the faces in general, the blushing, the hair ribbon which looks like ears. Apart from that, there is that ecchi red-haired character, ugh.
Anyway, it's not a game made for me. Therefore, as I already said, I prefer it if they would invest in NA instead.

Eccchi red haired character who? I don't even think you know what moeblob is. Post seems extremely ignorant and I honestly can't tell if this is actually just a troll. Like I said earlier. Get out. This is a thread for the interest of localization of Surge Concerto. If you have nothing constructive to contribute. Please stay out.

I have a weird relationship with these games. I love the idea of them, and Ar Tonelico 2 would have been good even without the VN Dive sequences; the battle system was entertaining and had just the right level of complexity. A shame I never finished it - can't remember why.

I like the IDEA of the Dive stuff, but the games play up the obvious sexuality of the whole thing a bit much - maybe I'm just a prude but it's weirdly invasive and a little creepy for me.

I felt Ar Tonelico 3 turned up the fanservice factor too high, and it was also just a bit shit - terrible battle system, basically.

From videos Ar No Surge looks a little more like 2 in gameplay style. Where does it fall on the fanservice metre?

Still some pretty suggestive scenes in during as per usual. But otherwise, it's dialed down from AT3.

How long does it take for them to announce atelier games usually? the game came out in March, doesn't seem too late yet.

I can see NISA might be interested in publishing it too if nothing is coming from TK side.

True, but considering the lack of anything and that they're asking if we're interested, we should be making noise to let them know that "HELL YES WE WANT IT"

There was that one time earlier this year, where they posted about their anniversary of publishing Ar Tonelico Qoga. I figured that was a clear hint that they were doing it, but then they later made that tweet, which asked if people wanted it.

Don't know anything about the Ar Tonelico series. But I'm down for whatever game Gust develops. Recently developed a liking on Atelier games.

Just confirmed on Famitsu (?) that Ar no Surge is getting a Vita port and Ciel no Surge is getting a Plus version that enables you to play the game offline.
