Omg, Jun! YES! *pushes Asuka down the stairs*
ROFL. I wonder if Jun's return means Unknown will be back as well. I like how she could switch fighting styles in TTT without tagging out.

Edit:

I wish Tekken's devs would take a cue from Soul Calibur and make the customization options more visually interesting. (To be fair, T6 had some pretty good options. Yoshimitsu's multi-armed statuelike form comes to mind.) Also, why the hell can't costume colors be modified the same way as SC4's, by selecting from a huge palette? I hate having to buy individual color variations of every article of clothing in T5 and T6.

The true king of fighters has returned. Namco is ready to continue to rule the arcades with an iron fist once again.

It definitely is Julia.... Just listen to her grunt at 4:04

And here is the stuff about the new card system for the arcades, special thanks to Yue from TZ:

Yue said:
-One card for all your characters. This a HUGE improvement, since in the current system you need a card for each character you play with.
-Although there's only one card, each character's stats (like rank, wins, loses, etc.) are managed individually. That is, if you're Tekken God with one character that does not mean you're Tekken God with all characters you play with. Each with his/her own stats.
-A team level raises according to the performance (wins vs. loses) of its members. Seems like the team level will be WORLD ranked.
-You'll be able to watch replays of fights from all over the world, not just locally or from your country.

Other awesome things I noticed:

1:18 - Roger joins Steve doing his 10 count throw
1:32 - Have no idea, I suppose there is a new b,b,u/b wall jump
1:38 - Doing the Tag Assault nearly eliminated all of Armor Kings recovery frames from his f+1+2
2:30 - Asuka can now wear Julia's customization vest from Tekken 6. Maybe they will be reusing some previous items
3:37 - Jin does the usual bound from T6 with 1,3,3 while Asuka's d+2 & AK's f+1+2 do a bound similar to T5 Bryan's b+1. So there will be 2 types of bounds now

really making up for my complaints of T6 so far even though this trailer issues no answers to my complaints ^_^

wante dto also say that the character models are fucking superb. I thought T6 models were good but these blow T6 out of the water

What are your complaints? And I'm really hoping for the home console version that they listened to the feedback and we get a more solid online experience.

complaints were only with the home console versions, so I'm sure you can guess what I complain about ^_^

I wouldn't expect too much for online unfortunately... Harada told Aris in their interview that the team is having real difficulty getting rid of the input lag and they have already consulted with the GGPO people. It's simply because of the system by which Tekken works makes it really difficult to get a good netcode for it. They said they're not giving up but from the tone I can't expect anything extraordinary.

And for everyone that has some requests about the Tekken Tag 2 localization: Filthy Rich (Namco's community manager) has a thread here in SHoryuken.com

Feel free to lodge everything you want into that thread ;) He's listening!

Game looks great, gonna be fun to play with some of my old faves for sure. Theres gonna be so many moves its gonna be bonkers. On a sidenote anything new on SF X Tekken ?

Jaycee still throwin' bows:

Looks like a shoulder check to me:

There might be more Chang left in Jaycee than we originally thought...

Uh oh. I recognize that shoulder block anywhere. Isn't her hair blonde in the trailer when she is sitting down though? Anyway, I guess we will finally see who this masked warrior is eventually. Hopefully, she will have some similar moves if it is her. Changing Julia to a wrestler/luchador seems...quite drastic, but let see where they go with this.

I do have some concerns about the console version's online. Better looking, more detailed models with 4 characters all running at faster speed and improved backgrounds. I am hearing MVC3 has quite a bit of lag in it seems like Tekken Tag 2 will be more demanding visually. I am expecting the home version of Tekken Tag 2 to be full of lag. Hopefully, Namco can prove me wrong.

Well to be fair, MvC3 isn't as input needy as say Tekken is with inputs. A lot more forgiving. We'll see. Also, let's hope we get say...I dunno, an arcade perfect port this time?

Huh? Tekken 6 wasn't arcade perfect? I heard the arcade version did look a little better because of the native 720p, but was there something else missing?

Main thing was the resolution was pretty botched for the console release. And so far no one knows why it got screwed the way it did considering the Tekken 6 arcade cabinet was based off of PS3's architecture.

Another small thing was that the designers forgot to add the announcer say the "chicken" command when you counter a reversal. Small thing.

EDIT: And of coarse, the loading times pre-install were terrible.

They backported the 360 version to PS3 for parity. :P

Assuming there won't be any balance patches, (yeah right) I predict we can maybe see a holiday 2012 console release.

Mmmmm...maybe. Of course we'll probably see by next year some TTT2: Rebellion Blood All Over version before we get a home console version. Hell. T6 sold 3 million. You'd think they'd take advantage of having it out sooner.

As much as they made on T6 console... they made a ****ton of money on the arcade release. With each cabinet selling for $10-20k it sold in droves accross Korea, Japan, Phillipines, Hong Kong, etc. And then plus that they get the money for the data cards and stuff. It's a damn profitable business now for them and I doubt they're going to relinquish it anytime soon. TTT2 Arcade is going to be here to stay for a VERY long time....

I kinda disliked the new in-game Jun model... It looks like the Tekken 6 E3 2006 experimental trailer....

By the way, the trailer says that they are aiming at simultaneous release for summer 2011.

They'll include her old look, surely. I have a feeling TTT2 is going to be a nostalgia fest for Tekken fans.

Oh god I just came.
