TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 AOU Trailer!!!

So why did they make Heihachi young again? I liked his older look.
Finaika said:
Because his voice actor died.

Did Harada confirm that the change was because of Daisuke Gouri's regrettable death??

I believe that they changed Heihachi to young one, because TTT games are non-canonical in the Tekken story/world. And given the circumstances (Gouri's death), they decided to introduce young Heihachi with new VA. I believe that they could have found a substitute VA for old Heichachi (or already have).

Looks like the tag throws are universal, but there's still five months or so until the game comes out. I like how they resolved tagging with walls and am really happy that unlike DOA, their special stages are usable in tag mode. The rage effect looks nicer too, IMO.

I think we're gonna get a fuckton of vids in the next day when AOU opens up to the public.

I like young Heihachi, he looks like a realist Tezuka character...
Also the fact you can use the silly custom objects to attack is funny.

All I ask for is classic outfits for all characters. Anything to remind of the past Tekkens because I'm sick of seeing the same shit since T5. Hell, every charactr should have every outfit they've ever had. That's all it'd take t impress me. Fuck everything else haha.

Really awesome seeing the moonlit wilderness stage set at the castle ruins that you could see in the background in T5. Level remixes are also awesome. Now they need the outfit remixes.

-Time freezes during tag combos
-Looks like Yoshimitsu's default stance is no-swords or he can retain stances while tagged out
-TTT triple replay returns
-Juggles look shorter/increased gravity or pushback!? Noice.
-18 stage slots at the select screen.
-Time set to 99 seconds.

Nice trailer. I look forward to checking out the new TTT when it comes to consoles in NA. I skipped Tekken 6 altogether, but I might get some time in with that game before I play this one.

She really does play exactly like Julia but with a few more gimmicks. Hopefully Michelle is in too so we can elbow all day erry day.

Someone at TekkenZaibatsu noticed, that TTT2 both have a rage mode of the original Tekken Tag Tournament and the one found in Tekken 6. Another pointed out, that the official website says, the game will only release simultanous across Asia this summer.

I'm excited for this game, by the way, we got any list of the characters who are yet not included? I tried doing one:

- Kunimitsu
- Gon
- Dr. Boskonovitch
- Miharu Hirano
- Azazel
- Nancy-MI847J
- Forest Law
- Armor King 1
- King 1
- Kuma 1
- Tiger Jackson
- Combot
- Roger
- Alex
- Unknown
- Angel
- Devil
- Michelle Chang
- Ogre
- Tetsujin

Unless the dev team in planning to set the record of the 3D fighting game with the biggest selection of characters in the entire history, I don't think it possible and prudent to add the 20 remaining or so characters of the Tekken history. In fact, there is a low possibility just to see a couple of them making the final cut. Besides I think it is well known that with so many characters already available (trailer says more than 40 in TTT2), it is quite challenging to make each one of them unique, genuine and original.

One thing I always thought was better in Virtua Fighter 5 was how the broken tiles on the floors actually stays instead of disappearing right away. It was fun seeing the stage all wrecked after a long battle, too bad Tekken has never replicated the effect fully.

Gotta admit though, that stage looks pretty.

Definitely looks nice, love all the colours. I've always preferred colourful and bright stages over dark and depressing ones. :D

Enough for me that Jun is back, but I'd pay high price for a remake of this stage.

Aw, hell yeah. I haven't played a Tekken seriously since Tag 1, since you know damn well I'll be in there like swim wear whenever this one comes out.

*prays the simul-2011 release comes true*

I think all of us agree, that many more characters won't be added, yea?
I only hope for Kunimitsu, Ogre and Michelle as console exclusives, and yet I feel we have already seen the final roster.

On another note, I wonder if my old fave, Alex (the Raptor alt. for Roger) may have a chance of re-appearing in at least the console version.

To me, the idea of a Boxing Raptor was always cooler than a Boxing Kangaroo. Why has Tekken not capitalized on something like that, in a series where we already have martial arts employing bears and various arrays of robots?

Anyone notice that one of the stages looked to be Moonlight Wilderness from Tekken 5? I really liked that stage/theme.

Yeah, saw that. I hope we get some from even earlier Tekkens as well (school yard doesn't count).

My wish is that TTT2 was a celebration of Tekken throughout the years and not just the last few and including older characters without actually paying proper tribute to them.

Remixed T5 rooftop and T4 arena/hon-maru tracks... MAKE IT HAPPEN!

P.S. If my local arcades can import T6BR (board only) and Super SF4 AE they better get this in June. I will personally slap the managers of my local arcades if I don't get some TTT2 this summer.

...not counting the inevitable Evo demo where I'll stand in line for 3 hours to play one match.
