Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition stuff

Already planned to wait till after the first of the year to get TTT2, and after seeing this it just made me decide that I will be getting it on Wii U when I get that.

I think the pixel counters at E3 pointed out that it was running at the same sub-HD resolution as the 360 and PS3 versions.

Pixel counters would have been counting pixels from the trailer, since the game was not present. And most of those numbers from the trailer had to be revised as we went on. These are the same people who told us Scribblenauts was sub-1080p, remember? Don't trust a word.

Will Tekken finally be in HD? Guess we'll find out this holiday.

Even if the WiiU version was arcade perfect, it wouldn't be HD anyway (well, not all the time). Maybe it could be better than arcade? At least, it should have fully animated backgrounds in online mode.

So first Tekken game on a Nintendo home console. I hope it sells. The Mario/Zelda stuff should help. Fighting games usually do well as launch titles anyway.

I hope all combos/move lists will be accessible on the GamePad to learn how to play with new characters. Having to press start, memorize moves, and press start again, repeated nth times, is more than I can bear at my age.

You only have to press start once. Seriously, why does no one bother to read the options at the bottom of the screen? But having the second screen display a command list sounds like the best use of the controller so far.

Dude now I really want to get ttt2 on Wii U, the costumes look awesome. I especially liked Anna's zero suit. I wonder if Nina can wear it too?

I don't think they are tied to a specific character as long as your the right gender. Like I think all males can wear the mario, link, fox, luigi and all females can wear zelda, zero suit. I don't know about the bowser costume though maybe anyone can wear it.

Good thing I decided to wait for the Wii U version. My only issue is that I don't want to spend $100+ on another arcade stick.

Edit: Wait. I forgot. The Tatsunoko sticks should work with this! Nevermind then. I am set.

It's genuinely amazing all the extra stuff they are putting into the Wii U version. How anyone could at this point settle for another version of the game is beyond me. Heck, this is starting to look very much like a Day One purchase for me, and I'm not even a big fan of the series.

The game is only as good as the playerbase, and the Wii U playerbase is gonna be tiny compared to that of the other consoles.

That trailer was great. Its good to see a developer putting in some fun stuff like this for a different platform. I hope they are rewarded for it with decent sales.

I love what Namco's done to distinguish the Wii U version of TTT2 from the others. I might end up double dipping.

Seeing Tekken characters with these costumes reminded me of those crazy cartoon/anime pics that were shown a couple of times here with a realistic Mario, Luigi, Ness or humanoid Pikachu. :lol

This Tekken Tag 2 stick by madcatz is being made for the Wii U as well.

SWEEEEEEEEEEET!!!

I was going to pick up TTT2 on PS3, but I think I may wait until the Wii U version ships and see how the performance is. These extras are pretty neat.

This is total fanboy bias from me right now, but I think due to the Wii U being more powerful than current gen consoles I'm pretty sure that TTT2 will perform at least as good on Wii U as on PS360, if not better.

That's not being a fanboy that's talking truth or what should be truth because its supposed to be more powerful than current gen hardware even if its not by a lot.

I just saw this trailer.

I've never played Tekken and I'm no good at competitive fighters but I now really want this game. lol

In a gameplay video i saw that it had the game running on the tv screen and on the gamepad at the same time. Wasn't the gamepad supposed to display Hot Keys like tekken 3ds and SSFIV:3D? Or are there settings to play with one or the other on the touchscreen?

I'll most likely get this eventually, but I'm happy with my PS3 copy for now.

If they added even more modes and characters though, I may consider getting it quicker.
