Well, at least that spoiler will most likely be false...

The only problem is if there is another twist that is even more stupid than that one.

Highly likely, but at least it won't be like insultingly stupid to the point where it becomes sensationally entertaining.

...wait, that's probably the best outcome. Well, damn.

Yeah, I'm going to be disappointed if it doesnt pull a stunt at the end now.

If you're going to jump the shark you might as well somersault.

Why can't we just get Terminator 3 from Cameron man

We probably will. He gets the rights back in 2019.

That spoiler, how does it even make sense? The Connor stuff in the trailer is not a good call back to T4.

I still wish the "dark" ending for Salvation was real. That would have been a nice wtf way to end the film instead of it all amounting to a bit of nothing at the end of the day.

Doing Terminator at this point is already like skating on thin ice, so it either has to be good or just monumentally bad. Anything else would just be boring and forgettable. At the most I'm hoping for some fun action and something to talk about.

How is the CGI as bad as it is?
It could be dependent on whether the studio is looking to cut costs as XiaNaphRyz (worked at ILM) puts it when he was discussing Fox in a thread about bad CGI, maybe outsorcing to vfx in foreign countries rather than domestic. There are probably more complicated reasons since not all vfx houses are the same or have the same resources, I'm guessing. I'm a layman on this.

It should be noted that Fox is one of the biggest examples of a studio looking to cut costs wherever possible, taking advantage of tax breaks wherever they can. It's why they haven't really worked with any domestic vfx houses for significant amounts of work in a long time.

I'm sure if he was here, he'd be able to explain it better.

If that spoilers true then YES!!!! I wanna see this film - they've gone pants on head stupid instead of just 'meh' bad. Perfect!!!!

This man gets it right here. Why go semi bad when you can go shits to the wall bad. This movie is going to be brilliant.

I thought it was neat personally. Kind of liked how it fit with some of the things TSCC alluded to (John's fight, ironically being carried on by machines long after he died from some kind of cancer).

I know this ending is most likely fake... but I think it could work in the right movie. It could be a very bittersweet ending to the series. So long as
John Connor exist, he is destined to save us from the machines... but what if he no longer existed?
. The right movie being key... everyone involved knows this movie is a joke.

With each new released pic and trailer, the movie seems to get worse and worse. I honestly don't see how this movie could be good.

Arnold should be ashamed. I mean, I get that he needs the money, but T2 was the highlight of his fucking career, arguably his magnum opus, and you'd think he'd hold some reservation about further defiling the legacy of that film. Why isn't he shitting equally on the Predator or Conan franchises?

He sold his soul with T3. Now he's just an empty endoskeleton.

He was already in T3.

He was already in T3.

Hence "further defiling." I'm sure he's heard and read all the scathing criticisms of that horrible film, so either he must have sufficiently deluded himself as to think this movie has promise, or he doesn't give a damn about the Terminator legacy and just needs the money.

is impossible this movie to be good, it has it all to be bad, old returning arnie, lame ass quotes from the old movies, banking on nostalgia, not so talented cast, same plot as the others...

I can't figure out if it's hilarious or depressing that the X-Men posters have desensitized me to the point where I don't find that Genisys theatrical poster to be that bad. I mean, it's bad and uninspired as hell, but it's competent compared to other shit.

The worst thing about it is the nothingness in the upper background. At least give it clouds or some kind of texture. As it stands it looks like a work in progress where they only really finished the bottom of it.

He's not the only one missing, I haven't seen Matt Smith in a single piece of marketing since the EW issue.

Well, Matt Smith is presumably their big remaining twist, if the rumors are correct and (possible major spoiler)
he is the human embodiment of Skynet.

Jesus fucking Christ. I don't think I've ever seen a trailer with so many spoilers :(

Is there, or will there be an explanation as to why a Terminator's skin degenerates?

You mean why they age? It's living tissue, so assuming that Skynet didn't discover the formula for immortality, it would just be the natural course of events.

Arnold doesn't need any amount of money. :lol

I think he legitimately still cares for the franchise but is blinded by this "love" to see what a shitshow it's become and that he really should not be a part of the stink anymore.

In the interview, Schwarzenegger asserts that genetically engineered flesh also ages:

“The way that the character is written, it’s a machine underneath. It’s this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator’s flesh ages, just like any other human being’s flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages.”

Sort of a weird turn for sure, it seems like T-1000 who was heavily featured in the initial trailers is pretty much an afterthought now.

Odds are that the T-1000 was created to be a red herring for the marketing, when the John Connor thing was supposed to be the big twist.

Now that they're in panic mode and they've revealed him as villain, it doesn't make sense to keep focusing on a character who is probably minor in the film.

Or he just has no eye for what's good and what isn't. I'm sure he didn't sign on to T3 thinking he was about to do a shit film, and probably thought the same walking into this buzzsaw too.
