New clip of Arnie confronting himself is pretty badass - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuQNsFEBr28&feature=youtu.be

I think there's a cut in the clip after he says "Your clothes, Give them to me, now." You see in the next shot the knife pointing at him just like in the original. The punks respond with "Fuck you asshole!", although I wonder if they kept that in a 12A film. The camera work is a bit weird. At around 8 secs the pan suddenly stops, then at 12 seconds it just zooms in randomly.

The B-Roll footage does show Arnold smashing through the glass himself. I really wonder WHY they would CGI his face ...

Yeah I don't get it. The CGI face replacement looks horrible. No idea why they needed to do that.

The CG when young Arnold talks looks dreadful. Still a long way to go before that kind of movement on a 'de-aged' face looks convincing. Tron Legacy had the same problem.

The score, from what I've heard in these various clips is fucking generic as hell. Aside from the obvious use of the Terminator theme, the music does absolutely nothing to improve what's visually going on. :/

The use of music in that clip was total cheese. This movie is actually opening here in two days. I may watch it exclusively for the lulz.

They're fully CGI heads, that's why they don't work. The CGI makeup in Benjamin Button worked pretty well though.

Cate Blanchett was 40 when this movie came out. Unfortunately Ahnuld is just too old for something like that to work.

Like most action films nowadays

Hmm.

Yeah, the best thing I could equate it to is the way The Hulk moves in the 2008 film..

You're absolutely right. The similarity is uncanny. And incredibly lame and disappointing.

Yeah Benjamin Button had some pretty good CGI makeup. Genisys seems to have some decent makeup too. Decent.

Something about CGI Young Arnold's eyes really throws me off. Like they're a little too imperfect/off center or something.

Actually kinda reminds me of Arnold's Total Recall head model:

I think it's also I recently rewatched the original so I have a frame of mind what Arnold looks like when he's running in that movie. The clip shown looks like the model is running too fast

When I found out that was CGI I was shocked. Very well done.

i dunno about that, i always find those scenes jarring in the captain america movies. kind of distracting, especially the awful effect they had with skinny steve rogers

it's the scene in 2 when captain america visits her at the old folks home

it even looked a bit off to me in benjamin button (though this is probably the best use of it on young brad pitt).

Could you elaborate on this? I don't specifically remember what part you're talking about from Winter Soldier.

This scene

I probably overstated myself being 'shocked' - more like very impressed as I thought it might have just been an older woman with makeup that gave her an 'older Hayley Atwell' appearance.

The guys playing the punks look like SNL rejects.

Where is CG Bill Paxton and Brian Thompson?

Geezus...this movie keeps looking shittier and shittier.

The way they said their lines was just so read and phoned in. I hated how we cut back to them for every line, like yes we get it. It's an iconic scene so we have to now show them in clear view as they read, with no sense of timing or tone, their line.

Looks like it'll be way more entertaining than 3 and 4. Im really interested in the scenes from the future as well. They're gonna have to pull a damn good explanation about how the humans were able to capture something as important as the time machine compound from Skynet.

Yep. They are just talking...reciting lines with zero emotions. The original punks were basically the inspiration for the Mad Gear gang, full of wit and goofiness. They were cartoon characters, unknowingly going up against a Terminator.

This is just fucking junk.

There's a puff of smoke that appears after the cut, right at the center of the glass. Is it from the charge used to smash the glass?

I woudln't expect the smoke to completely untouched like that with all the debris from the glass. I figured it was from the gun. It looks like it fired, but there's no sound effect.

Where is the OT? I just watched this. It's a timetravel shitshow. Holy crap. Emlia Clarke is ridiculous what the hell was this. My god.

I think that looks awful, but I have to admit that I am intrigued by this film to see how much it's going to fucking ruin the first two films.

Also, why do the shotgun rounds spark off of young Arnie's body? They couldn't sink through four inches of flesh and muscle and then make a large spark off the endoskeleton.
