hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.

i only glanced at a few shots because i simply couldn't not do that, but that's all i'm going to see until it comes out.

Not really into love stories but The Thin Red Line was the most beautiful film I have ever seen.

I'll probably check this out for the look too.

Affleck compared it to an impressionist painting. Which could be interpreted as "this is boring", but hopefully that won't be the case. It's got Olga and Rachel, neither of which I can resist, so I'll be there regardless.

Looks beautiful. Malick is so hit and miss for me, he made two of my top ten, and three I really don't care about. Fingers crossed.

Beautiful cinematography, crappy trailer editing. This plague of ADHD trailers just boggles the mind.

I'll skip this one until I've seen the rest of the Malick's filmography, but it looks great,

Short trailer considering TTRL trailer is almost 3 min.

Must make way for all dat cast

Most international trailers are a bit short. Magnolia will probably release a longer domestic trailer and in HD.

Didn't this get godawful reviews? I'll probably watch but I'm more looking forward to the film with Gosling and Mara.

Eh, most Malick movies don't get the warmest reception. My reviewer loved it, though. The Tree of Life was mixed and it's my favorite film of the last decade, just gotta see it for yourself.

As someone who's exposure to Malick includes only Tree of Life, this looks unmistakably similar to it... and not in the sense that it seems to maintain a sense of style, but that it almost looks shot for shot the same! Even the locations look the same. It even has that same curtain scene going on. Just, wtf? Are all of his films nothing more than echos of each-other?

I love Tree of Life but I hope this has more of a narrative to follow.

Malick films always have beautiful trailers, and this is not exception. It's just a shame that, other than maybe the Thin Red Line, I have been bored to tears by all of his movies. It's almost like he should be a cinematographer for someone else's films instead of making his own.

Thing is, his movies always get rave reviews from critics whose opinions I actually respect. I just don't get it. The Assassination of Jesse James is an example of a movie that appears to be imitating Mallick's style whilst actually being interesting.

This certainly looks closer to Tree of Life than any of the others look to each other, although there are some very similar shots in the flashbacks of TTRL. The New World has some of that same feeling, but not so clearly 'echoes' as you call them.

Its been described as a 'A twig snapped straight off Tree of Life.' so it's probably going to be similar. Nothing wrong with that though. I wouldn't get your hopes up looking for a narrative; all comments point to it being just as abstract as the Tree of Life.

They have a similar sort of style and underline themes but no they're not as directly comparable as this appears to be.

Y'all are fucking crazy. Bardem was one of the best parts of the trailer.

Heard really mixed things about this, even from TToL lovers. Will see, however.

I love Malick but please don't be like Tree of Life and be more like The New World/Thin Red Line.

Beautiful vistas as usual though.

imma need something more than 360p for this..

looks definitely like a sister to tree of life, which excites me

with how wonderfully he shot jessica chastain,
i can't wait to see how he films rachel mcadams.

whoa. Got a cinematography boner from that.

speaking of cinema boners, is there a release date yet for the Master DVD/Blu? Didn't get to see it in theaters.

OK.

#1 why is this trailer in 360p?
#2 why does Javier Bardem sound so awful
#3 at least the women are gorgeous
#4 now THIS looks like a student art film
