Tesco Reveals NX price early?

Probably a placeholder.

"Nintendo NX Wii U" LOL.

So like 400-450 euros?

No thanks. Never had any real interest unless a launch Metroid prime was announced.

Either way, Microsoft are getting my money for the Scorpio next.

NX won't be £349. And Tesco have removed the price because it's clear that just like the release date (Released: 31/12/16) it's just a temporary page so they can get SEO in place for the eventual reveal.

It's most likely a placeholder price as one of the reasons for the Wii U poor sales and 3DS poor launch was their high price and I doubt that Nintendo will make the same mistake with the NX.

As with other retailers, they always make placeholder prices high so they don't have to honour it if folks pre-order when they lowball the price.

Placeholder page, clearly, but my only thought is that if Tesco are listing it - even with a placeholder - are retailers aware of an imminent announcement and getting their systems ready?

Maaaaan. Nintendo limped outta the gate last time with their god awful messaging and brand confusion.

The remedy this time? Create even more confusion by dragging the announcement out. Just announce the thing already. Nintendo fans are losing their minds

It's going to be interesting to see if Tesco actually decide to stock it.

Every Tesco store I've been to in the past few years cleared out all their 3DS/Wii U products a long time ago and only stock Sony and Microsoft games.

It'll probably be online only, I can't see them putting Nintendo stock back out any time soon.

Price is placeholder imo but yeah it seems retailers are now starting to preparing preorders. One of the biggest video game reseller in France is taking emails to inform you as soon as preorders are available (so with rrp info about system and more details about games at launch).

Also price without any information is useless. 400€ is expensive out of context but if the dock is included it changes everything.

Nintendo might of sold shares to a Deborah Meaden who is a expert in retail, who got them a leg in the door

Extremely placeholder-ish. We've had multiple times examples of placehoders with not correct prices. Also, we know from MCV (and Nintendo themselves) they're aiming for something cheaper than Wii U, so...relax :P

Now this can be potentially interesting, if backed up by other retailers doing the same.

Yeah Nintendo will need to nip that in the bud as confusing marketing was the other reason why the Wii U failed.

Speak for yourself, I am cool as ice.

My local Sainsbury stocked 3DS/Wii U products then they got rid of them but recently they brought them back.
