I don't think you have any idea what the term "port begging" means.
Would be quite assuming if Noruma followed Kojima's setup for KHIII or a HD Collection (PS3/360/Vita/PC).
Still, I kinda doubt it will be on the Vita based on that statement. "We would have to be very careful about how we create it for that device" makes me think they'd make a unique game for the Vita if they make one at all.

Yeah. Makes all the constant begging that goes on regarding his games even funnier, Versus in particular. I guess people really SE to be on his back. But if that was the case, I would think that we would have seen more on Versus by now.

Didn't he say at one point last year they were doing "HD" tests for Kingdom Hearts?
Considering how long it's taking them to do a HD version of one ps2 game (FFX), I think we may as well forget about playing KH HD collection in our lifetimes. It's too bad, because SE never localized KH2 Final Mix.

Doesn't that just increase the chances of a Wii U version? Unless you think they're going to push the next Kingdom Hearts to next gen, which considering Square's current track record would just be a quagmire.
Square seems pretty dedicated to both their new 2 year dev cycle and on releasing a Kingdom Hearts title every year. So I expect HD releases of Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 followed by a new console title for this gen.

It was Sony/S-E who decided to reveal the XIII games back in 2006, not him.
It's also S-E's marketing team and the higher ups (Shinji Hashimoto) that are blocking him from releasing VersusXIII related news and media. Nomura wants to show off the game.
Give the guy a break, or at least don't direct all your anger/frustrations towards him alone!

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't be surprised if KHIII was a Wii U game. Given SE's performance with HD platforms, I doubt SE would be in a very big hurry to rush to the PS4. Not to mention, they know that KHIII is long overdue. Making it a Wii U game would likely result in the game getting released faster than it would as a PS4 game.
And I'd be okay with that (provided the Wii U tablet isn't a pain) since I go where games go instead of being strictly dedicated to some corporation. But for those people's sake, I hope KHIII makes it to the Wii U. The meltdowns would be fun to watch at first, but that whining would quickly becoming annoying and plague every thread related to the game.

If it's on the Wii U, I expect it would be exclusive because of the pad. KH games are all tailor made, one single vision. A KH Wii U game would certainly use the pad in an important way and I can't imagine a multiplatform KH game that's missing a big feature on some versions. I see it as ps3/360 or ps4/720 or Wii U.
Actually I wouldn't be surprised by a Wii U exclusive announcement at this e3. Nintendo got them to make a KH game for 3DS, I imagine they'd also push for KH3 as well.

Is anyone in the same boat as me about this franchise? I basically do not care about the story any more, however I've always enjoyed the gameplay, thought 358/2 was pretty bad but 3D looks interesting.
I'd really like to see how the games would translate to HD though, so I'm hoping for a proper KH game on consoles ... but I basically don't care if if it's a full numbered sequel or not at this point.

Ugh I really can't afford to buy another console just to keep up with this series, please just do a collection release on the PS3/Vita (since it started on PS2) and anything going forward just do a mutiplatform release.

He says that they understand that spreading the games to multiple platforms has done the franchise no favors and it sounds like they are going to do something about it (either still keep it exclusive to one platform but perhaps release a HD collection with at least the most important releases (I, II, BBS & 3D) for it before KHIII so that people can catch up OR they are going fully multiplatform and the next game will be for WiiU, PS3 & 360 or PS4/Nextbox).
