You're not going to bankrupt the NRA. You're better off starting a pro-control lobby and outbidding them for candidate support. But that's probably too much work for most people. They'd rather just wait until someone else fixes it, and post in the mean time saying nothing changes.

I doubt that even if one of these shooters started shooting at the capital building something would actually get done about guns in the USA. These university shootings are just going to be footnotes in the newspapers at this frequency. Not really a school shooting. Two people shot (so not by definition a mass shooting, per the other thread) in a shitty part of town known for gang violence that happens to be near a school.

Shootings suck and people dying sucks and stricter gun control needs to happen but this wouldn't even be a topic here if it didn't happen to be near a school.

I don't even know what I'm trying to say. Lot of college aged kids here who don't really give a shit about stuff like this until something happens to make them think it could've been them.

Obama is arriving in Oregon soon to meet with survivors from the last shooting and people are losing their shit and pro gun owners are protesting that should say everything. The US is beyond fucked when it comes to guns but not surprised when the government is made up of morons.
