Ok, in all seriousness, Ive been a lurker for 2-3 of those years and 2013 is when I decided to jump in rather than just dip my toes into the water.
Gotta say, I love it around here. It isnt the candy coated non-sense the rest of the gaming communities have turned into AND I love how it isnt paid for by a mega corporation to whore out their views.

The best part is the variety of topics. I was just looking through my subscriptions, it's 156 threads of the most random shit. I can talk & read about games, wrasslin', nba, how to stop being a fatty, UFOs, taco bell, almost everything you could think of, all on one forum. That convenience is nice.

I like this place. Tried to get in years ago when LittleBigContra came out, but never could. Even though it took forever, it happened at a good time since I was in post-1up, orphan limbo this year. I like that you can have serious conversations, but they're not so heated or personal, and things move along so quickly that you can just hit it and quit it. I also like that there's an actual Vita community here.

Since I wasn't here during most of the console war stuff I was able to sit back and examine it from a distance and it really was unbearable on here for a short while. Xbox fans were trying so hard to do MS' work for them by convincing everyone it wasn't as bad as it actually was and then after the 180s they tried downplaying Sony's accomplishments with the PS4 by spreading lies and FUD. And Sony fans were awful by shitting up every single XB1 thread with the same fucking tired memes (HAVE YOU SEEN TITANFALL DURRP) and basically taunting Xbox fans with all of Sony's great moves this year.

Granted it was way worse on other places since hardly anyone moderates like Gaf does.
