He LOOKS like he's hovering, but it's over in barely a second. With enough momentum, you could probably make anything appear to make you fly for a second. We don't know exactly what he did before that shot--maybe he ran, maybe the train accelerated, maybe there's a rubberband catapult off camera. Maybe he has some friends in front using thin strings and doing a massive and quick pull forward just to pull off the 1 second illusion.

Point is, it doesn't look impossible, it just looks like he was thrown forward and then crashed less than a second later. Remove the fire extinguisher and it's the same thing, some guy looks like's he hovering for a second, and I'm sure you've seen enough videos of various ways to pull that trick off.

It's just that when he lifts his feet off the ground (he doesn't jump, he gently lifts his feet) what is providing the upward thrust? The extinguisher is parallel to the ground, it wouldn't provide any upward motion at all. You'd just drop instantly, gravity doesn't hang around, even for half a second. That's cartoon physics.

I get what you're saying, but we don't actually see what he does JUST before he lifts his legs. For all we know the extinguisher is being thrust forward by my theoretical catapult.

Basically, I think we're all in agreement this is "fake" in that he's not actually flying. It's just a matter of how he pulled the trick off, and judging from the video quality it probably wasn't that complex.

If occurs to me we don't really see the top, either. Maybe he has a rubber string or something that snaps.

He leaps foward with it blasting between his legs, it adds MAYBE a half second of airtime due to the initial burst, than arcs downwards.

Honestly, the entire thing is < 2 seconds. You can probably make a leap that lasts that long with enough momentum, i.e. a train or running start.

There isn't much to do for the youth outside a few major cities in Russia. That's one of the rare entertainment opportunities outside getting drunk/high.
 
I don't care how fake it was, that fire extinguisher part had me cracking up. Reminded me of the jetpack from Arrested Development
 
Russia looks lile the most depessing boring country out there. My god is there ever any sun in the country and not to mention everyone there looks bored as hell.

Yeah its gotta be fake. Go to 19 seconds and you can see hes attached to some kind of contraption that is being held by the people farther back in the car.

it was already provided in this thread.

my mom and her friends used to jump on their bicycles into the river when they were young. Me and my friend used to scale buildings on construction sites (sixth grade if I remember right). We also used to make our own bungee jumps. I really don't see what is the big deal about that. Shit can happen to you everywhere, whenever you try something dangerous or just walk in the street. Also almost all people in these videos are either young or drunk. If they are young they have nobody to care about except themselves. If they are drunk then it's just alcohol at play.

The extinguisher is actually pointing downward. Not to mention if there was ever that much propulsion in a thing like that, we'd all be blown to hell trying to put out fires with them. But the most damning evidence is the fact that when he's on the ground after the whole thing, it still goes off, and it's just lying there. It should be darting around the room killing people if it had enough energy to lift a guy
