Just can't get over how poorly run this tournament, every year they fuxk it up. And They never learn. Now they are going to do five hundred million in upgrades, destroy grand stand which is the best court of all majors and build a giant bureaucratic building for McEnroe and friends. Fuxker can't even develop players on his own so he has to steal methods from the Spanish. This tournament seriously needs to be moved but will never happen with the Jewish power brokers of New York.
 
How is the baseball game across the street going on if they really had to evacuate and danger was imminent? Lolz. I agree with canceling before the actual rain but there was plenty of time to not fuck with Ferrer.
 
What did you want them to do? They had to evac everybody. The only misjudgement is not playing the second semi parallel to the first when they learned of the bad forecast.

I know it's not likely that Ferrer will pull off the match, but I just want to say that this man has done more to win this tournament than anyone.

First his beautiful comeback against Tipsarevic, then he double-breaks the number 2 player in the world under horrendous conditions.

In a world in which athletes were rewarded for their effort rather than their gifts, David Ferrer would be the US Open champion.

Welcome to Michael Chang's world. Guy had incredible will and spirit, never surrendered, hustled like pretty much nobody else ever has on the tennis court, match after match, tournament after tournament. Was a little guy, primarily played from the baseline, but worked very hard throughout his career to improve his serve and net play, and to overall become a better player.

Chang's reward? Getting manhandled and thumped out in grand slam finals by Agassi, Sampras, and Becker.

Come on. Ferrer is 30, has the best season of his career, has won 5 titles and has reached 2 grand slam semis this year, has 58/11 win/loss record this year. Life could be a lot worse for him lol. I'm sure he's quite happy about what he's achieving in the tail end of his career.

I'm sure he's quite pleased with that success, as he should. Guy has worked hard, like Chang, to get better and better, making incremental improvements every year.

I'm also pretty sure he'd trade 50 of those wins for one Major.

Sure, that's the ultimate achievement/dream. But most players don't even achieve what Ferrer has and hey! he's still in the running.
