So happy for him though, been a long time coming and I always thought that he'd do it sooner rather than later after the Olympics win.

Up until Wimbledon it wasn't that great, he had won only Brisbane on hard courts and was useless on clay, lost 1st round at Queens as the defending champion. So I would say he's had a great summer, but not full season (though obviously it is the greatest season of his career).

Fuller is Andy's manager, there was a thing over the summer during Wimbledon about him. I think it was Piers Morgan who kept tweeting asking if Judy Murray was dating 80's singer Paul Young

Novak lost to the champion at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open. He is the man to beat right now for sure if you want a grand slam. He slipped up this year in the big matches which is unfortunate but I guess that made up for him winning everything last year.
I would love to see Tsonga put together a slam win now. That would be amazing

the way the current top 4 is shaped being ranked 1 or 4 doesn't really matter. guess 1 is nice for the title but other than that..

novak just lost a lot more points than federer though.
Murray was the favorite (In my eyes) to win. Didnt think he had it. What a summer for him. Saved the whole tourny in my eyes. So like LeBron needed Hakeem to take him to championship glory for his first NBA title, Lendal does the same for Andy not only to win the gold, but his first grandslam.
Yeah, but Fed basically won everything after the USO last year.
I think they will battle for Shanghai and that will settle it.
I don't see Fed doing worse than a Final in Basel and Paris.

But Roger is playing Shanghai while Novak probably isn't, so he can make up that deficit there. And he's the big favorite indoors, so we'll see.

Haha yeah, definitely so. It's just funny. I hope it does sink in though, it's winning these slams that really gets into the heads of the non-Nadal/Fed players and gets them going. I mean look at Novak. They're all great players, they just need the extra push. It would be nice to see a diverse year continue on, despite what GAF thinks.
Why do so many people hate on Andy Murray? He's easily my favorite non-US player.

Murray's best performance this tournament is still by far the QF against Raonic, total master class.
His demeanor on court and playing style are off putting to many people, myself included. He has a lot of talent, but he plays it too safe most of the time.
