As long as Veep takes comedy series I'm good.

Breaking Bad vs. True Detective... BB for series and Cranston for Actor. TD wasn't bad but BB was better.

Veep and Orange Is The New Black are clearly the two best in the category, IMO.

I'd also be fine with Louie or Silicon Valley winning, though both are long shots.

Modern Family needs to go away, and Big Bang Theory being nominated is just pure lol-worthy.

I think it would be hilarious if House of Cards somehow beat out BB and TD as best drama and OITNB won best comedy. #NetflixSweepstheEmmys

Hoping TD pulls it over BB for series and actor.

The only category I see The Good Wife being competitive in is best supporting actress since Juliana has already won best actress, and I don't think they will give her a second. On the other hand Christine has been nominated a bunch of times and never quite made it.

Keke Palmer killing the red carpet.

"No one likes him and no one will tune in to watch his show, so let's try cramming him down people's throats even harder". Yup, sounds like typical television executive thought process.

I know I won't be watching, simply due to the host. Absolutely can't stand him.

He seems like someone who is probably really fun to hangout and have a drink with. But he just doesn't work in front of the camera.

True Detective for everything please.

I'd love for Hamm to finally get his well deserved Emmy, but I can't see it happening this year.

TD, HoC, BB and MadMen are all great shows ;_;

I want Cranston to win more than MM, purely for the transformation he was able to do for 6 seasons.

Season 4 was a new peak for his creativity. Yeah, it didn't have as many "jokes", as the previous seasons, but the writing, acting, directing and overall production was light years ahead of any other comedy on TV.

I didn't mean to write it off. I just didn't think it was as lauded this season? Or rather, that it was praised as much as 1 and 2 (and those both didn't sweep either). I've kind of just expected that Louie doesn't do well at these kind of things. I mean, when you learn how the Academy votes on some things...it's mind boggling (ie. they won't even have seen something, and vote purely on popularity).

I remember that one year Modern Family won best direction over Louie's military episode. What a fuckin joke.

would be cool if armando iannucci won an emmy, not that he needs awards, just nice for him to get recognition in the states

don't really care either way on the true detective vs breaking bad rumble, they're about the same

the emmys will continue being a joke in my mind until they stop giving modern family awards.

stop it. please.

MM will win best actor. BB best drama.

Breaking Bad should sweep the awards. It'd be a crying shame if they get robbed from the (still excellent) True Detective.

I hope Colbert wins one more Emmy as well.

Why do the Emmy's refuse to nominate RuPaul's Drag Race?

Cranston won't win. They can't resist making history. Anytime an awards show can make a headline, you know they can't resist.

Same here and agreed. With Breaking Bad and True Detective as competition, it's all over this year.

Though I'm certainly not saying Cranston, McConaughey or Harrelson don't deserve it.

Hamm has bad luck. Literally every year he lost there was someone more deserving (technically). Well except that one year Jeff Daniels one because the Newsrooms America speech got passed around the net and the academy thought it was bold.

Here's hoping Dinklage wins supporting actor. Also hoping Orange makes a sweep.

Would be shocked if they didn't give it to Aaron Paul tbh. Just because the academy loves him and BB ended and his character had some brutal scenes.

True Detective should win everything. Breaking Bad was amazing, but TD was better.
McConaughey > Cranston.

Well they are supposed to vote based on a single episode performance. I thought Cranston was better in Ozymandias than McConaughey in the TD finale. In fact I think McConaughey had better performances in the season. But yeah I doubt they will vote based on their own format.

The Americans got snubbed real hard this year. Orphan black too. Tatiana Maslany deserves some kind of recognition.

Would love for Veep to win as many awards as it can (even though JLD won one for Outstanding Lead Actress two years in a row). This show is fantastic.

I've come around to this being on a Monday. Makes the night feel a little less ordinary and soul-suckingly-routine-ugh-I-just-have-to-go-back-to-work-in-twelve-hours

It's okay. Not awards worthy. Just a little bit better than The Bridge.

Lena Dunham looks terrifying.
