Those fight scenes, especially in SM1, were utter shit. Great movies, obviously, but the CG was putrid most of the time.
The Daily Bugle IS in the movie, just as Oscorp is, but there is no JJ or Osborn, yet. I'm wiling to bet both characters will be in ASM2.

I'm so glad my initial hype came true. I just hope Gwen doesn't die until part 3 if they're going to go that route. I know that's a big part of her story but I'd be interested in other ideas. And if the Green Goblin does show up I really hope it's classic Gobs. Or bring in the Hob Goblin and change it up.

That looks good between this movie and Dan Slotts run in the current Amazing Spiderman comic its nice to see a character this old has plenty of life left in it.
I don't think those are spider tracers, after all. It seems to be an almost automated web shooting/radar system or something, but not tracers (despite looking like a radar).

The CG of that antenna collapse at the end looks pretty weak
God I miss the days of models/miniatures.

I think it would just feel weird... but who knows, if it's for ASM2 or 3, it might be fine for most people, by then.
I don't know, it all depends on who the villain is in ASM2. Guesses? I would say GG, and she dies as she did in the comics. OR, Osborn is present, as is Harry, but GG doesn't make a show until ASM3.
That would make the whole thing quite interesting, in terms of character development (for both Gwen and Osborn).

I think Gwen will die at the end of the second movie and it will also introduce Mary Jane as a character. If the second movie has the GG as the major villain then Gwen has to die, it will happen at the end and then we will see PP go insane and they will make the third movie about Venom and how the loss of Gwen feeds the symbiote. That would be my outline for a trilogy.

Pretty much word for word what my thoughts are, but I never even thought of Venom for a third. Holy shit, if they were to do the third with Venom, but proper, how big of an FU would that be to Raimi's SM3?
But I doubt it, repeating GG might be fine if they change it up enough (costume wise, etc), but repeating Venom, I don't see it... but that sounds cool.

I don't know how serious you are, but I really, really don't want Kraven as a main villain, at all. That is just so weak. I mean, even in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics, Kraven is just this joke villain.
I liked more use of the science side of Peter, actual webslingers etc.

No, since biological web would come out of his ass. It has always been mechanical and it was one of the irritations for many fans about the original trilogy, no mechanical shooters.

It looks like a smaller budget film. Like they're not putting the same love and finances into this that they did the earlier trilogy. Maybe it was too soon to reboot the series.
Garfield looks fine. I don't like Emma Stone, but she makes a decent Gwen. Leary is no Gary Oldman, but he might be tolerable as long as he's not stealing any of Bill Hicks jokes (ha). Lizard is underwhelming - though I do like Rhys Ifans, in his last few films he doesn't look like he's getting into the roles, he's just there and this is no exception.
