Tanks are pretty deadly, at least I am. I always get a couple of kills when I'm in a tank. They control good as well .

Good, I found the tanks in BC pretty shitty due to the narrow gameplay of Gold Rush and the lack of a coaxial. :[

I hope the first DLC map is a big, flat tank vs tank affair. Tank battles are somewhat rare in 1943. The tanks also tend to have low survivability because of all the hiding spaces for the infantry running around.

Seriously. I'm content with what the game offers currently. But there is so much potential to turn it into a full-fledged multiplayer experience a la Halo or CoD it would be a shame to not at least get a map pack out of it.

also que Scout explosives don't always trigger....

You set them in place, you wait (eheheh) and about 1 every 10 times they don't go off... Its so frustrating

sometimes you cant even drop the explosives even though the animation plays.

Are people really still having trouble connecting? I'm in Australia, have been playing the 360 version and have had almost zero connection issues since around Saturday morning (so Friday afternoon US time, Friday evening European time, roughly).

I generally squad up with a few mates, game connects first time 19 out of 20ish tries, although I do get a dropout maybe 1 in 10 games. And the Aus 360 servers aren't even up 'til later this week (I think the PS3 has had Aus servers since launch).

Also, my ping appears to be pretty awesome, although I could be connecting to Japanese servers or some such, which would explain it.....

At one point, wasn't this named "Battlefield 1943: Pacific"? They changed it to 1943, so maybe we'll get DLC with European maps.

I'm thinking that maybe the change was because of Battlestations: Pacific. I play that too and have already got confused a couple of times talking to mates :/

Ditto. The game has been such a huge success I wonder if they plan to do anything about it. I'd almost feel upset if they didn't. I guess that all depends on EA and the console guys.

The TNT is terrible. Tossed some maybe four feet from a guy and he refused to submit to its explosive power. Luckily he didn't hear the deafening explosion, so I tried to throw some explosives at him and was disappointed when it didn't attach itself to him.

Machine gunners in bunkers are great fun though.

Yeah, I realized it was probably not a good idea to take the plane when we were only five. :lol

I guess it's a US server? I had some lag and the headset was only static (so I had to turn it off), which is why I quit eventually.

Damn, I was always using two, old habits from BF2 I guess.

But yeah, TNT's great against tanks, especially when they're trying to cap bases.

The best is planting a TNT when a tank is coming down the road but they dont see you. Running behind a bush and detonating it right as they are crossing is great. They must have an awful WTF feeling after that
