I've heard Champloo has some good shit, but I still haven't seen it. I should have picked up the Blu-Ray while it was cheap. :(
The Champloo Blu-ray is an absolute steal for $30 bucks. Hell, I think the lowest it has ever been is $20. I got it for $25 over a year ago. The fights, the music(God... this music), the colors/cinematography and standalone episodes are fantastic. Everything about it is well done from start to finish imo.

Yozakura Quartet: Hoshi no Umi is also great for some good, well-animated fight scenes. It's only three episodes too.

Kotoha vs. Zakuro was awesome. Click for gifs: Here and here

I LOVE YOU.

More people need to watch that series. Just so great.

My picks:

I wish more than just a few dozen people watched Real Drive in the west. Such a great series, and has some great fights to boot.

I'm with you on birdy, moribito and real drive. Wonderful stuff. I love it when IG does their more experimental shit.

I'll throw in Gon vs Hisoka from HxH

Both versions have their merits and some points that were done better than the other. Really great scenes.

Edit: Beaten by like 4 posts.

There are 2 scenes in Seirei no Moribito Episode 3 that rank as one of the best fight scenes in an anime I have seen. with great strategy and actual tactics, all with full animated scenes, and some great angles. Both are short, but quite well done.
especially take note at the end of scene 2

Seirei no Moribito 1

Seirei no Moribito 2

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one enjoying the 2011 Hunter x Hunter remake :D

It has some issues. I don't like the soundtrack as much, it's a little more shounen explain-it-all in it's direction than the prior incarnation, and the opening is fucking tired at this point, but hopefully they change it up now that GI is coming the next ep. Overall I think it's a successful reboot, and I enjoyed the brisker pace of the hunter exam.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood: Definitely enjoyed the remake a lot more than the original! Too many great fights to choose from but this one had me on the edge of my seat!

Naruto: Another series with too many fights to pick from but this was always one of my personal faves.

Kidoumaru vs Neiji

Panty & Stocking: I started out on this series late but the first episode I saw was this one!

yes, I love moribito so damn much. Really need to rewatch it.

Anyway, most of things I watched are mentioned but I always liked rock lee vs garra and team asuma vs kakuzu and hidan.

Spent hours analyzing both series, and all I can say is I'm out of this topic before I lose my fucking shit.

First series I thought of for this topic. Not that many fight scenes in the anime but loved every one of them. Personally liked this fight the most from it:

I was a bit disappointed that there weren't more fight scenes in this because of how well done they were, but yeah these are good too. That move at the end of the 2nd clip is fantastic.

Yeah, the heme that plays over the final fight is amazing

It's a masterful scene in every aspect. It's one of the best sword fights I've seen in ANY medium, really. Camera work is amazing, especially the one shot following the katana sliding across the other one.

I hate so much of the anime in this thread. I simply am not the target market. :(

Ninja Scroll
Sword of the Stranger
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai X
Morbito (even though I don't really like the series)

Those are the 4 that I go to when I want to watch FIGHT scenes. I'd say more, but I don't want to crap up this thread. I'll just say that shonen anime is just not for me.

Sasuke vs. Orochimaru in the episode "The Sharingan Revived: Dragon Flame Jutsu". Such a great battle, imo. Naruto vs. Sasuke at the Valley of the End was also pretty good. Casshern Sins had a lot of great battles, but the final battle between Casshern and Dio was damn good.
