The Biggest Collection on NeoGAF.

I, in no way, have the biggest collection on NeoGAF. I've actually been getting rid of a lot of stuff lately, mostly because I just never play it anymore/work/school/art/etc. While I was pairing down my collection, I realized that there never really has (in my general almost 5 years of being on gaf) been a thread to see what user has the biggest collection out of everyone. So, I figured I would see what GAF could come up with.

Rules: You can list out more details if you like, but, mostly just looking for a game count and a console count. The console count is purely for consoles you own, not for how many games for consoles you have (IE, if you just own a game from that console, and not the console, don't include it in your console count). You can post pics if you like. Game downloads count as well. Game collections do NOT count as separate games, just one.

I guess I'll start, I personally own around 212 games, and 14 different consoles.

650 games, 9 consoles + a bunch of pcs, 14 handhelds + iphone

... and I'm not even in the ballpark of GAF's largest library. Kadey probably has more hardware than I have games. I know she's got like 250+ controllers or something.

I own, like, I don't know, thirty games?

I really didn't get into gaming properly until the end of the last gen. Before then I had a 64, a shit-load of Nintendo handhelds and a Gamecube, and I'd usually just be the guy who waited for the next Mario or Zelda, so my collection wasn't exactly that big.

This should be interesting.

Anyway, how does stuff like the Sega CD and 32X get counted? Are they considered "consoles" too, since there's games specifically for them? Or are they still peripherals, and their software gets attributed to the Genesis/MegaDrive?

I would post pics but I only have my current stuff readily accessible. Most of the older stuff is either at my parents' or packed in a box somewhere.

26 consoles:

Amiga
Dreamcast
Game Boy
Game Boy Advance SP
Game Boy Color
Game Boy Micro
game.com
GameCube
Neo Geo Pocket Color
NES
Nintendo 64
Nintendo DS Lite
Nintendo DSi
PlayStation 2
PlayStation 3
PSP 1000
PSP 2000
Saturn
Super NES
Vectrex
Virtual Boy
Wii
WonderSwan
Xbox
Xbox (modded)
Xbox 360

And, according to the Word doc that I have, I've got 476 games. That's not 100% complete because I don't have my Vectrex games catalogued, but I'd estimate that it's about 490 total.

Backloggery says I currently sit at 626 games (I'm at work so no pics right now).

I have about 100 more PAL region games back home in the UK (older consoles... fairly decent Dreamcast and N64 collection in particular) that I didn't bring with me when I came to Canada a few years back that are just sitting in storage. Many of my current games were purchased before I emigrated and brought them all with me because I had started importing everything because I got sick of PAL land.

Backloggery says I've finished 21.4% of them to some degree, which is still a higher % than I thought. O.O

Pics from March 07 (pre 360,PS3 days), so it's gotten a lot bigger:

716 games in total:

Including:
101 360 games
94 DS games
117 GC games
83 PS2 games

I think I have about 20 systems and probably about 1000 to 1250 games. I have no idea.

Here's an old pic though, unfortunately I don't have one of just the games yet. I've added quite a few games since then but I know I still am not close to being in GAF's top collectors.

The last time I counted, I had something like 58 PS2 games, 14 Wii games, 8 PS3 games, 10 360 games, 22 DS games, 14 PSP games, 5 PSX games, 10 PC games, 6 GBA games, and 8 GCN games.

Since my breakup, I lost the 360 and PS2 ones, and most of the DS ones too :(

If I'm successful in my future move, I'll sell everything but my PSP and DS stuff :(

This isn't even accounting for all the shit I sold last time I moved country, or the stuff I've sold to make for rent money. I know this is light compared to a lot of GAFers, but it sucks to know I'll basically be starting over again soon enough :lol

All those games on those TVs? Buy less games and upgrade your TV. Can get a decent one for only slightly more than a console.

:lol @ the picture of Reggie. Bravo sir. Bravo.

I like the framed Reggie pic. :lol

306 games across 15 systems for me, but I don't know if I feel like pulling it all together for a picture.

^fatty, you could use a better tv! I know the older games usually look better on a tube, but I see a PS3 and a 360 in there as well

I don't really collect anything, I prefer trading out(with people, not gamestop).

I have like 20 on ps3, 20 on DS, 30 on PS2, 10 on psx, and 5 each on wii and 360.

Wow!!! What a shit TV!

My database says 1,431 games. Unfortunately, pics would be difficult, since most of it is boxed up in the closet (I have two young children). The cool thing about my database is that I've kept track of how much I've spent on games (only for the last year and a half though). So my PS3 collection is 73 games strong, and I've spent $2,548 on it in the last year and a half. My largest single console collection is the PS2 with 208 games.

^^ Wow! What a collection, what are those 4 gun things? Water pistols? :)

Lazer Tag rifles. From left to right their names are Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty.

Are you Siegfried, or Roy?

I got the idea for the tiger from the Thriller album cover. The horse is named after Epona from Ocarina of Time.

IGN says that I have 1,264 but that's not including a couple of games that I bought recently and have been too lazy to add.

368 PC 29%
174 PS2 13%
90 GCN 7%
67 X360 5%
66 DS 5%
58 PS 4%
57 N64 4%
55 NES 4%
46 GBA 3%
40 Xbox 3%
37 DC 2%
35 PS3 2%
30 PSP 2%

25 Wii 1%
21 Gen 1%
21 SNES 1%
15 GBC 1%
13 GB 1%

This is an old picture of a part of my collection. It doesn't show the boxes of NES and Atari and a few other systems' games. I now have more shelf space, too, so it doesn't look like such a huge mess. :P

That's not a lot, I'm at 196 for just Nintendo this gen.

69 Wii
10 WiiWare
17 VC
94 DS
6 DSi
As far as I am concerned, over 50 for any system this gen is a lot! Didn't mean to sound boastful.
Do you have a lit of your games perchance? Now I'm curious!

Geeze. This thread make me feel like a non-gamer. I own one console, two controllers and two games :(

Nothing wrong with that, besides you have two pretty hardcore games in NG2 and SF4. Most of my games just sit around collecting dust; I regret to admit that I haven't hooked up my Neo-Geo AES system in years.

I have just shy of 700 games over 23 systems (24 including PC), and I'm embarrassed to show most people my "office" which is absolutely littered with games and gaming paraphernalia. BTW, I'm at work right now, will post pics when I get home later today.

I've got 357 games in my SEGA collection (http://www.backloggery.com/bootaaay) which includes the Megadrive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Mega-CD & 32x, plus 78 games for the PS3, 88 PSN titles and around 80 PSX games (some disc based, most via PSN), 20 or so DS games, 8 Gamecube games and a handfull of Xbox 360 games. Oh, and an Atari Jaguar with AVP and one PSP game (Sengoku Cannon :p).

About 640 games across 12 consoles.

Approximations:

Probably around 120 Steam games.
Around 30 PS2 games (got rid of a good 20 or so).
20 360 games.
10 PS3 games.
30 XBLA/PSN games.

My favorite current gen consoles being PC > PS3 > 360. Weird that I own more 360 games...they're so cheap. :lol

I trade in games that I won't care to play in the future. I'm completely done collecting games. I simply don't have the space. That's one reason I love Steam. No space taken at all.

I have a PS3, 360, PC, DS and PSP. Four consoles too many. :lol I own about 5 PS3 games, 2 360 games, 4 DS games and 7 PSP games. Any games there's a non fighter in those groups are games I'll be getting rid of.

I subscribe to the Shawn Elliot school of game collecting. I don't.

Now, my movie collection on the other hand...

Someone post the pics with the framed picture of Iwata. That cracks me up every time. :lol
