The Bionic Commando Rearmed Official Thread of SUPPPAHHHH JOE!

I still cant get it ( I thought it was 1 minute and 30 seconds?). Do you need any extra armor equipment or something? I can fly by the normal guards, but the droids start to gang up on me.

It is 1 minute and 30 seconds / 90 seconds. You don't need anything, just the right route through it, but there's very little margin for error.

:lol nevermind, im dumb. 60+30 = 90 of course.

Question: How many upgrades per weapon are there?

Answer to the trophy question: They WILL be retro active, it's been confirmed.

Should be one per weapon.

Can someone explain how to do Secret Challenge 5? Not the exact swing procedure, but just how to start off. Is it something with that revolving platform?

I've never gotten past the first level of the original NES game but I love this new version. Makes me want to go back and give the NES version a try now that I actually understand the swing mechanic.

BTW, why are the level numbers just random? Is there any rhyme or reason to the level naming scheme?

I guess just military code names?

One upgrade per weapon? Great :)!

I must be crazy, but I just don't see how to progress from Area 1 to Area 2 or 4.
I have destroyed the Level 1 boss, went through Area 13, collected flares, went back to Area 0, upgraded weapon, but all this time I just can't go to Level 4 (that level is connected with the line to Level 1). The helicopter won't go there. What am I doing wrong here? Am I supposed to go back to Area 1 and use grenades somewhere maybe?

Never mind, I figured it. You have to press Top-Right instead of just right. Jeez, that was kind of not very obvious for a simple map navigation screen.

What was everyone talking about saying you still had to input a code for the Rearmed character model in 3D Bionic Commando?

I have it unlocked in the Database and it says it's tied to my save file.

On the 360 version, its a code.

Also count me in for the "what are the area 00 top levers for" crowd. That has to be a co-op thing.

GOTY!

GOTC!!!!!

GOTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...................................................................kidding. I don't say stupid shit like that. This is a great game though.

Man I got goose bumps when that second stage song started for the first time... perfectly done remix.

It sounds like this:

Du... du... du... du du du du...
Du... du... du... dududududududu, du!

EDIT: If no one still recognizes it, it continues like this:

Da, da di da, da di duuuu...
Paralalalala da, da di da, da di duuuu... UAA LA LA!

The very beginning? There are two revolving platforms in the left wall. Hit them both to create a nook you can stand in, and from there you can do a normal diagonal latch to the first platform.

Have fun!

edit:
Also, the top levers in 00 unlock friendly fire in co-op mode.

Guess i've got my work cut out for me. Though I just found the secrets in Area 04 so im feeling bionic.

Gimme an Area number to work with :lol

EDIT: Nevermind it just hit me like a brick. Its called "Heat Wave". That song really fits for the crazy climbing you have to do in Area 05.

I need more XBL friends to compare my bionicness to. I've got like one friend that has the game, and Costanza has just been playing Fable II pub games (he's just temp banned right?)

If you're implying BC is the only possible cause for red rings... :lol

I know there are other reasons, but just like past updates have bricked systems it could be possible if BC did it to mine. I just downloaded the game played it for ten minutes, the game froze and now I'm getting the RROD. My 360 had been off all day and was just turned on within the last 30 min.

I bought the game for PSN due to the PS3 d-pad, but the XBLA version of this game looks WAY better graphically on my TV (both are connected via HDMI). Anyone else notice that?

*youtubes it* THAT'S THE ONE!

Thank you sir! *listens*

I bought the game out of my hype for the 3d Bionic Commando, but to say that the controls are difficult would be an understatement. I love the Duke Nukem Rad Spencer art.

its the 3 red lights, but it crashes for now when I'm playing Aracade games, after it crashed in BC, i got it to go back on then crashed on Braid. After it crashes it usually red rings when i try to turn in back on.

Apparently Xbox World UK gave the game a 4/10 (or the equivalent, according to Metacritic). Would love someone who has access to post an excerpt. I have a feeling it's another "they should have added a jump button" review. :lol So not the point of BC.

My game just froze for the second time ever...hope thats not a sign of things to come. First time was on launch day after visiting the challenge room once.

This may have been answered, sorry if it was but:

I can't get into area 4
I completed area 5 and got the bazooka. The pilot tells me I can blast through the concrete in area 4. I go there, and my bazooka does nothing against the concrete slab in the beginning of the level. Am I doing something wrong?

You shoot your bionic arm at the concrete blocks and then use the bionic arm button again to pull them away.

I never heard of this game/franchise until today, downloaded the demo, loved it. purchased the game, love it. I can't believe this was only $10, so much content in here but DAMN IT'S HARD.

This is the first game where I had to play on easy and the challenge rooms are just brutal, I can only do the first 10.

Is co-op only offline?

I just wanted to see what the multiplay was like so I started a DM with no one else here, the game crashed my ps3 within a minute, is that happening regularly?

I had to turn the game down to medium then got to the construction level boss and gave up on going through that level again after I lost my lives.

God, I love everything about this game. The music, the graphics, the arm! Go Go Bionic! First arcade in a while that has completely satisfied me.

What is this I am hearing about that the PC version lacks both vsync and anti aliasing, heck it's even got stuttering issues? I thought for sure that the PC version was going to be the superior one. Now I don't know what version to buy. I just bought a new PC rig and I wanted to fully experience this game. I freaking loved the original game for NES ;'(

Check around to see if the PC version will be getting a demo so you can try it out.

ok so pro-tip in Area 12 with low ceilings/spikes:

just grapple the ceiling, equip shotgun and shoot to gain momentum swing, let go and grapple again, repeat!

After spending a few hours with this game I am completely in love with it.

This game needs the youtube feature way more than Pixeljunk Eden.

PS3 or 360 then? The game looks, sounds, and plays great on both platforms.

I didn't even know that you can do that. :lol

the demo tutorial levels were great, then the actual demo started :lol never played the first game so I don't know if I'm missing a nostalgia effect or something, but I'll be passing on this.

Finally beat challenge level 10!

Gowans (and anyone else who was stuck): you probably worked out the route. You have to be swinging between the two lower blocks and firing straight up when you pass the block in the middle.

I grabbed on to the top-left of the left-hand block (presumably the top-right of the right-hand block would work). There wasn't much rope in the grapple arm either, so there was just enough time after letting go to fire up and catch the top middle block.

I think the way I did it was to pull myself up onto the left block, fall off the right side, and grab the top left. Anyway, good luck!

I haven't felt the urge to buy Xbox 360 until recently, but since the new 360 is coming out any day/week/month now (was it Jasper?), I guess I'm waiting for that to hit the shelves. And as for the PS3, well, I just don't see the point in buying one yet. Not that many games screaming for my attention. Oddly enough, I always thought it was going to be the other way around. That PS3 would interest me more, but with the great deal of intriguing games coming out for the 360 (including XBL), it's turning out to be a pretty interesting console. Thing is though. A lot of 360 games hits PC as well, so why would I need a 360 anyway?

Ah the choices. I guess I'll have to buy both in a month or two. But I have so many PC games I'd like to play first since I just upgraded. And don't even get me started on all the DS games I need to buy -_-
