The Brawl in the family thread

I'm sad that the strip is ending. It's consistently funny and/or charming. The jokes are always pretty clever and sometimes there are even alternate strips with alternate jokes.

I actually think that Matt has been on a roll since returning in July. All of this month's stips have been hilarious. So the guy's still got it.

Might as well end on a high note, though.

Woah, this has consistently been my favourite online comic. It has a pure charm and humor that always delivers. And the drawings are beautiful in their simplicity. What a sad thing to hear it's ending.

Still a fantastic comic that I'm sad to see go, especially with the next Smash Bros finally so close to hitting. :(

But I shall remember it as probably my fav web comic all the same. :) Almost always hitting the right comic notes for me personally, thanks for the laughs!

It's always possible that Matt could gain back some inspiration for more strips after Smash 4. He could always do one here and there, or maybe do a week-long miniseries of Smash 4-related strips at some point. I can see it happening.

But it's not a big deal. When an author becomes content with their work, it's best to just close the book for a while. It's a good thing that Matt realized to pull the plug before getting to the point where he himself was dissatisfied with the material.

Sad news. It's one of my favorite web-comic of all times. But I respect Matt's decision.

Make something fun for too long is hard and time is something too precious to to waste when you get tired.

I will miss BitF a lot, but I wish that Matt found success and pleasure in your new projects.

Well that's a huge shame. Really hope in the future, we get more volumes or possibly a complete collection of all the comics in book form. Or at the very least, take a day to go back & re-read all of them.

I assume it'll end with #600?

Since for some reason, I can't post in the BitF forums despite registering, I'll post here since I just now found out about this.

BitF has always been one of my favorite webcomics. Clean humor, Nintendo-themed, funny and heartwarming without being cheesy (well, most of the time), and on top of that, gave MetaKnight a backstory so good I consider it canon. Whenever I had a rough or bad day, I'd go to BitF and smile no matter what. I am incredibly sad it's ending, but I respect his decision to end it. It will be sorely missed.
