It's less about actually changing the playing conditions and more about using the delay as a chance to halt Joker's momentum and regroup himself.

It's an open air tournament. So keeping it as open air as possible is kinda the point.

It's an outdoor tournament, you want to have all matches played under the sun/sky ideally.

man that break from 40-15 stings. if the rain delay would be at 3-2 federer it would be a much nicer wait.
Djokovic is just an incredible athlete, you really need to paint the lines with perfect shots to beat him. Ruthless efficient Federer from the mid-00s would (and did) smoke him off the court, but now it actually looks hard for him. He can't maintain that level over 5 sets to beat a player like Novak. Federer need to come to the net more, but we always say that. He creates more easy finishers that way.

Great match so far. Federer is hanging onto Djokovic by a thread, but he's hanging on. He really should be two sets down, but he isn't, and he's still in this match. Poor form to get broke from 40-15, but they're giving each other so much grief on their serves that anything could happen.
Against the greatest returner (along with Agassi) ever?

they tend to avoid the roof for showers. it does change the way the match plays, so its fair enough i think.

Murray's pretty good too though, and he didn't stand a chance. Fed is not serving as well as Friday, but you can't expect that level every time.
