polg: Is it worth the import?

Jagwire: Yeah, that's $30. I might as well buy it. Thanks

Kevtones: God, no. No way. I'm not crazy. Just first party titles and noteable 3rd party stuff.

I don't think you're missing anything major. Smuggler's Run: Warzones is pretty good and you might want to pick up the new SSX (w/Mario :lol ). Mostly i'd suggest just looking around for Cubivore and Ikaruga. I know Cubivore is someplace online for $30.

Edit: excluding imports

Phew. :lol List looks good to me. Cubivore ain't that expensive anymore is it?

Very nice list. GameCube rocks.

Try and find the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest though. I didn't see that on there. And yeah, everything in your "don't have list" you should pick up if you want the "complete collection". Except Shadow. It really is trash. If you HAVE to get it, get it used. :P

Both Prince of Persia games that you don't have: Warrior Within and Two Thrones.

Pac-Man World 2, with the ugly yellow Player's Chocie label, to get Pac Man Vs. Not awesome, but for the collection I guess.

Oh! Mega Man Network Transmission. Awesome game. Mega Man X Command Mission is missing from your list too.

Kevtones said:

Probably not, but I'm limited because I don't have a means to buy anything online.

Edit: Thanks I <3 Katamari, I'll consider those. I can't find Shadow used, anywhere. It's the same complex with Virtua Quest: Nobody bought it, so nobody could sell it back. They're both $49 canadian each still.

Hmm I'd add "Smuggler's Run", the two Timesplitters ("TS 2" and "Timesplitters: Future Perfect") and the two better Bond games ("Nightfire" and "Everything or nothing"). "XIII" because of its style and music.

You're missing all EA sports in your list but I'm sure you've noticed it.

Yeah, I can find all the EA sports dirt cheap. Are they worth it though?

I own Nightfire for Xbox and I'm borrowing EON from my friend. I haven't seen it used yet, maybe once, but it was out of my price range.

Also, was Pokemon Box released in Canada? There's a lot of Pokemon Channels, for $20 canadian.

Oh how I wish I could find it :(

The only time I've ever seen it was for $70 at EB Games.

mainly imports and multiplatforms:

Donkey Konga jap series
Naruto gekitou Ninja Taisen 4
Bleach
SSX on tour (i love it)
Prince of persia : warrior within
Prince of persia: the two thrones
Splinter Cell series

Are they worth it though?
If this is an important question, your list should probably be about half its current size. Either you're gonna buy a bunch of stupid crap for the sake of collecting or you aren't =P

Well it depends.. If you like the sport, chances are you'll like the game too.

Tiger Woods is nice (the 2005 edition is the best imho), so is Madden; I've heard that the Hockey game is considered arcade-y, which is not necessarily bad. Never played their basketball games outside of NBA Street games.

As for football, FIFA is good but I have more fun with Mario Smash Football and ISS 3.

Some non-exclusives like X-Men Legends, X-Men Legends II, Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, Mega Man X Command Mission...

As Katamari said, Mega Man Network Transmission is good and Master Quest is pretty essential, if you're looking for worthwhile exclusives. I'd probably also add Evolution Worlds, even though it's by no means great, and Summoner: Goddess Reborn.

Harvest Moon, maybe? Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life, and the coming-in-March Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (a GCN exclusive).

Harvest Moon
Doshin The Gaint
Pac-Man VS
Viewtiful Joe: VFX Battle
Wario Ware, Inc: Mega Party Game$

Nice list otherwise.

I only quickly glanced at your list, but I noticed that Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee is missing from your list. It is a VERY fun multiplayer game.

I never see it. I've looked for it, though.

Alien Hominid? I've considered it but I haven't seen it since either.

...Stores around here suck. Virtua Striker 2002 wasn't even released up here.

You might also consider Winning Eleven 6, pretty rare title as it only appeared in Japan.

Others:

Giftpia
Auto Modellista
Virtua Figher: Quest
Sonic Riders
Homeland
...

Whoops, I have Sonic Riders preordered. I forgot about listing that.

Is Giftpia pretty text-heavy? They should really localize it and release it in NA. I hope I hope I hope.

List the specific games you're talking about?
All the pre-release demo discs (MP2:E, RS3, Nintendo Preview Disc, etc)....every Resident Evil game excluding Zero and 4....1080, Virtua Striker, and NBA Courtside are partial-birth abortions....Sonic Adventure titles were poorly ported also AFAIK

Freedom Fighters
Timesplitters: Future Perfect
King Kong
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
Splinter Cell
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow

Demo discs I got for free (and got payed for, in the case of the MP2: Echoes. Hello $8), resident evils were just to make the collection look pretty, 1080 was actually kind of fun (but not as good as the original), Virtua Striker was to flaunt that I have a game that wasn't released in Canada (and is an AV title), and NBA courtside was dirt, dirt cheap.

Funny thing, I bought NBA courtside for $3 and it turned out it was the PAL version. I then saw it again for $5 and it turned out to be real. So, I have two copies of it.

I hope I hope I hope, too. It looks like such a delightful game, and playing through the absolutely fantastic Chibi Robo has made me want it even more.

I would imagine that, being an RPG, it is pretty text heavy. Probably much more text than in Chibi Robo (which has a fair amount).

Well if you've already got all that stuff you might as well keep it. I thought you were looking to buy some portion of the listed items...

I guess I should've been more specific. :P Oh well.

As a note, all of the games I listed have been opened and played. I don't want to end up as one of those people who buys a lot of things and doesn't even play them.

Well if you enjoy games like Metal Slug you might have a lot of fun with Alien Hominid. It is extremely easy to get online (Behemoth sells it themselves for $20) but since you said you don't have any means to purchase games online I can see why you might be having a bit of trouble finding it.

$70?!? Have them ring it up. It should be $24.99 BC. My local EB has one for that price..

Nintendo Puzzle Collection and Kururin Squash are two nice imports if you're into puzzlers. Still wondering why the fuck Nintendo hasn't bothered to release Puzzle Collection over here, it would make a nice budget release especially now that the GC is so barren.

1080 is actually pretty good, not an abortion in any way. It's just too short.

As far as the demo discs? How are those not worth having if you're trying to complete a collection?

The Resident Evil games aren't worth it? He might not have them on other systems or he might just want the whole series on GC (something I'm going to do once they finally come down in price).

Yeah, why not. One second..

I <3 Katamari: Yeah, I don't own the RE's on any other system. I got RE2 used for $20, and it just sat there lonely so I decided to get the others at $30 a piece brand new.

Edit: camera battery is dead. Maybe a bit later.

Added my suggestions (disregarding what you already put in your second list). Jedi Outcast is a particularly strong one - it's rare, but it's rare because it's awesome, not because it sucks.

Thanks!

Also, my local store has Outcast, and for $50. Is it worth $50?

I wanted to get PSO plus but I can't find it anywhere. And I've beaten I & II to a pulp so it wouldn't really justify a purchase.

And take off Custom Robo, that game was shit.

You can get it on Ebay for less (used at least), but if you've always wanted to be a Jedi it will be worth $50 to you.

Well I hope this tides you over until it's my camera's recharged, but imagine:

...With the right side filled completely with gamecube games too, another platinum gamecube sitting beside the jet black, and another column of games filling the left cabinet to the brim.

EDIT: Yeah, that's a really bad picture. It's changed a hell of a lot.
