The concept of "dailies" and how you feel about them.

I think GTA Online does this, though I never really check for them.

Honestly I don't think a game relying on prescribed checklists that you can consult when playing is the right way to do it. If a dev wants me to play their game on a daily basis, make the gameplay in tight addictive packets. Like the 5 minute matches of Rocket League. It also helps w that game in particular that it's very fast to get into a match & start playing. I'll often pop on for four or five matches before bed and sometimes I can get that done in a half-hour. That is the shit.

Upon further reflection, I think there's good dailies and bad dailies.

Good dailies are just a bonus to make the after-grind easier. Ex: Win 5 matches in street fighter and get 5 matches worth of xp.

Bad dailies lock currency or other objectives behind them. Ex: you can buy costumes in street fighter, but it locks them behind a special currency that can only be gained through completing dailies.

( I know this isn't the case in sf I'm just using an example)

It shouldn't be the ONLY method of completing a goal. Just a bonus.
