This looked great, cool trailer set to a beautiful Oliver Tank track too... But the map looks not only huge but way more detailed than I remember.

Hope it doesn't end up like a sooped up smugglers run type cross country dash... But this is on my radar now

I hope they're giving us the ability to say no to racing and just driving around through open terrain. It's one of the reasons I really like FUEL.

Too many good looking racers to buy this fall. Decisions, decisions....

I wrote off the game as soon as I heard about the microtransaction system.

Although, this is one way to make a decision. Are there any details on this?

dat minimalistic thread title. I like it.

I'm hyped for this game. I'm gonna be in racing game nirvana this holiday.

Looks amazing, and much improved over what was last shown. Definitely one of my most anticipated games right now.

I'm pretty pumped. The vast world is insane. I dreamed of being able to drive across country in a racing game - and now it actually is a thing. Pretty crazy

The coast to coast trailer was amazing. It has Miami. I want this game now. Had no interest before, but that sold me. The size of the game is impressive. PEACE.

Size and all is good but still no proper impression of the game. Do we even have a E3 gameplay for this game? Their showed this trailer during the conference and nothing else.

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty mediocre trailer. I remember a game called Fuel or something that also had a huge driving area and it ended up not being all that great. I hope the Gametrailers review for that game doesn't end up being true for The Crew as well:

"Fuel may set records and feature tons of things to do, but very little of it is actually worth doing. While the scale of its world may be impressive on paper, this is one case where bigger isn't necessarily better. "

Might be the most underrated trailer at the whole show. Love it. Great concept piece, incredibly different than "racing" game trailers... You do get the sense this is meant to be a "driving game"

There's quite a bit of e3 gameplay.

Last one is not e3 but may be new to people.

This fall is great for racing fans. Project Cars, DC, The Crew, FH2 (360 and X1 versions being different so technically two FH2s).

i am wondering just how open world this is though, the off road area's look great ... but is it really a go where ever you like type open world, or are you kinda stuck to pathways through that country side?

This year, Racing game market gonna explode!!

The Crew
Forza Horizon 2
Project Cars
Drive Club
Grid Autosport

They're all real car based racing game, and All of this title will release at Q4, except Grid.

It's Insane.

I feel bad for Drive Club and Project Cars. I was thinking of picking up Drive club before, but after the videos.. I switched to Crew.

There are several facts that make me extremely interested in this game:

1) cockpit view for every car and well done at that
2) HUD completely disableable
3) devs are TDU veterans
4) beautifully looking open world with large diversity

I mean these aspects together make it my dream racing game, something I wanted from NFS game since NFS 3.
Now I just hope they will nail the driving physics and it will be entertaining to play with both wheel and x360pad.
And also they need to nail progression and career design, obviously.

Oh and that trailer is pure beauty. Fantastic song selection.
Wish they made another one, with cockpit view.

I'm excited by the audio and customization aspects of this game.
The cars really sound explosive and the performance and visual upgrades is almost limitless.

Racers heaven this year with so many games.
Pleasure overload incoming!

Sure looks much better now. When I tried a demo last year, framerate was pretty bad and it was very buggy (I was able to pass through low res buildings while racing)

I really thought The Crew was the racing game that showed off better at E3. Of course that doesn't mean anything since E3 showings are rarely representative of final build quality but at least for me the game went from the bottom of the list regarding racing games to the 3rd place behind F1 2014 (still waiting for that next-gen reveal) and Project Cars.

On the other hand I thought Driveclub and Forza Horizon 2 didn't showed off really well at E3. Quite surprised with that.

This year could end up being one of the greatest years for racing games. If only Grand Prix 5 by Geoff Crammond was announced by surprise...

Looks interesting. Went to the official site, saw the raid modifications and Shelby, got excited for some Thomas Crown style Mustang action, but there is no raid section for the Shelby

Are the mods pre done packages or can you select actual parts yourself?

Also, will solo offline play be available or viable?

Edit: Also, the car list seems really small.

I'll be honest, when they showed the crew at E3 last year I didn't think there was any way in hell I'd buy it. Something about every day cars with large off-road tires cruising through places they have absolutely no business being I don't like. Kind of got the same feeling with the Forza Horizon 2 trailer. This trailer gives me a different vibe though. Here's to hoping the impressions are good.
