that burton theme was fantastic but the score overall in begins is far suprerior to elfman's score.

No doubt - It just feels like it's missing something. I would love to have Elfman's theme with the new composters touch on it.

Eh, it's Hans Zimmer–he doesn't really have the ability to craft a memorable yet simple tune like Elfman can. Still though, his score for Begins feels much more, how should I say it, Batman-y than Elfman's.

I love Elfman's theme, but it doesn't fit Begins at all. I remember all the youtubes of people trying to edit it in and it always looked weird.

While watching I just picture Batman randomly yelling for Rachel.

"RACHEL!!!!! Do we have enough for the paper towels?"
It's not who you are underneath, it's what you buy that defines you.

I always loved this scene from Begins with Zimmer's music.

:lol Powerful stuff. That costume is a pretty awesome replica of the real thing, too. I'll be missing that suit in TDK.

And the Elfman theme isn't that great, I'd take any of the several themes in the Begins score over it.

Batman(1989) musical theme is more iconic than anything in Begins. Batman Begin's theme paces the movie better than any of the superhero or action film themes.

Being iconic doesn't mean squat to me.

I think that the music from Begins wasnt as Iconic, but I still liked it more than the Burton Batman music. Some scenes where the music picks up, it just gives me goosebumps, like the last scene and several others.

the Beings score was just so much more powerful.

dude I can totally see Zimmerman having a take or injecting his flare into the theme...I don't see why something iconic like that has to be faded out.

It worked AWESOME in the cartoon series too, and you could argue it wouldn't "fit" there either, but Shirley Walker, bless her heart was ****ing awesome with setting a scene, and made Elfmans theme her own.

edit- You know what I always hated the Batman Forever/& Robin theme...what the **** was that? It sounded like a military march

Elfman's theme doesn't work with Begins. It just doesn't. You can think of ways it could all day, but it would still come off as someone trying to shoehorn Elfman's theme into a completely different style of movie.

Newton/Zimmer's theme fits Nolan's world, and Elfman's theme fits Burton's world.

Melinda McGraw (CBS' "Center of the Universe") and Nathan Gamble (Babel) have joined the cast of Warner Bros. Batman sequel The Dark Night, reports Variety.

McGraw will play the wife of Gary Oldman's character, Lt. James Gordon, while Gamble will play their son.

Thought Gordon only had a daughter?

I don't follow the comics closely, but I thought that as well. Doesn't she become Batgirl?

What I like about that Batpod pic is that Batman is wearing his Begins suit...which means we get a rational explanation (which happened quite often in Begins) for the suit change. So he just doesn't show up with a new suit right off the bat.

Sonki read some stuff on the web and had a theory about the way the movie would be presented:
that it could start from the end and work itself up back to the beginning

I don't know what stuff he read exactly to come to that conclusion. But judging from The Prestige...it's possible I suppose.

He read the Begins script right when it was leaked (quite early on from what I remember), but this time he's gonna stay away from a leaked script to surprise himself. I think I'll read the script if it ever does get leaked.

Elfman wrote a good main theme which doesnt really work in the more grounded approach Nolan is going for. As an entire score, Newton Howard and Zimmer's blows it out of the water.

BB's score was easily my favorite from 2005, and I still listen to it occasionally.
