Russell Crowe is NOT in The Dark Knight
Source: Superhero Hype! August 24, 2007

A rumor is spreading online that Russell Crowe will make a cameo appearance in The Dark Knight, but it's not true. The rumor comes from one site's (we won't mention who) failure to recognize that Christian Bale was completely joking a few days ago at a press day for 3:10 to Yuma. Bale didn't want to talk about "Dark Knight" (understandably so, considering the press day was for another movie) and threw that out as a joke.

And if you believe the reports that Bale never jokes around, you can watch a clip here of him and Crowe talking about the Justice League of America movie.

Moving on...

:lol I wonder if he gets pissed when people ask him about TDK when he's trying to promote an entirely different movie?
You imagine if GAF had a reporter that showed up to EVERY Christian Bale movie before TDK and asked him "How's TDK coming along? You have Robin cast yet?" :lol OMFG, he'd probably kill that person!!!

maybe we could pay manabyte to go...... :lol

:lol So between now and whenever the third Batman movie comes out, any other movie he does that he has to do press for he's gonna get asked about Batman. Poor Christian he should come to my house so I could "comfort" him.

didnt Bale audition to play Robin in Batman Forever?

oh how times have changed.
Yep he sure did. But he was to good at acting so Schumacher didn't give him the part. He said it didn't fit in with his "artistic vision of pure shit".

Bale may be a prince of Hollywood now, but he was struggling for a few years there. He doesn't exactly make it a secret that even he's not huge on some of the roles he was forced to take, let alone probably audition for. Whether he just needed a job, wanted to get his face out there to execs or to appease his agent, doesn't take away from his talent.

Nolan hates CGI so much that he implodes actual buildings

http://www.hollywoodchicago.com/2007/08/its-official-building-to-be-imploded-in.html

It has been interesting to see photos come in as crews feverishly work to transform Chicago’s now-defunct Brach’s Candy factory into a living, breathing hospital for the purposes of “The Dark Knight”.

Based on information published here, Chicago photographer Kyle Telechan shot and sent me the most lucid images yet. This time, we can clearly see that Gotham General Hospital is the building’s name.

For the first time, we also see an image of the demolition company responsible for the action. These images were photographed on Sunday, Aug. 26.

:D Christopher Nolan is so fucking awesome. I hope he got some good shots because there's no redoes on that shit.
Edit: Also fuck you George Lucas. ^^That is how you do special effects motherfucker.

I swear man, Batman Begins really reminded me of T2. The hard action film. It's why I brought my dad to it, who always talks about what a great film T2 is. The real stunts, smart use of cgi, great score.. This only confirms it just a bit more.

As much as I loooove Bale, Nolan and Begins, when I think of action films T2 still stands head and shoulder above the rest. TDK might come closer, but time will tell.

Are you complaining again about shakey-cam? And since when was it an issue in BB? Or any Nolan movie, really? BB's problem during the fight scenes was that Nolan had them framed far too tightly. Not vomit-inducing handheld work. Other than those 3-4 scenes, the cinematography in the movie was pretty damned great. Hell, didnt Pfister get an Oscar nom for his work?

Basically, Nolan needs to learn how to let his action breathe. But its not a "shakey cam" issue. I still think you blow it way out of proportion for The Bourne Supremacy/Ultimatum, but I can at least see where you're coming from there. BB? Not so much. I have certain issues with BB (namely the second half of the movie), but the camera work isnt one of them.

I'm just hoping that Nolan lets us see all the action this time. His reason for BB's action being so tightly framed was that he said he wanted to show the confusion that a criminal would feel when being attacked by a ninja like Batman. Which is pretty stupid as far as I'm concerned, so hopefully this time we'll be able to see everything thats going on in the fights between Bats and the Joker.
