Maybe it will be some avant garde thing where every actor is acting out a different ending that Nolan personally told them, simultaneously

The ending will be done Evangelion style. Just an hour of young Bruce Wayne sitting in a chair in an empty room, having psychotic visions of different characters in the series while crying into his hands.
oh lol. that was the reason why I never watched an anime ever again.

did you see robin? Is robin confirmed? What did his/her costume look like? Was it a cgi costume? Were the colors right? What color was the hair of the actor/actress? Can they change it in post?

I was expecting to see Anne in her Catwoman outfit doing cartwheels towards me.

Actor Treat Williams tells ZAP2IT.COM that his committment to Lifetime's family-oriented police drama, "Against the Wall," will prevent him from taking a part in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

Nooooo. Nolan's "The Substitute 2" homage denied. Time to bring back Berenger.

I don't care if I'm President of the USA, if I get the call from Nolan to be in a movie, I'm calling in sick to my day job.

Obama confirmed as Robin?
Or better yet, Biden confirmed as Penguin?

Every character trying to "win" the ending would be awesome. Just monologue after monologue descending into madness.

Maybe we're trying too hard.

Maybe the ending is Two Face, having a conversation with Bats. On a beach. On a dark and stormy day.

Nolan already leaked the ending, and it was in front of our faces the entire time.

Fuck.

Do you guys think Batman 3 will break TDK's opening day record? I'm not entirely sure it can. There's just no shock-hysteria surrounding the villain this time. Maybe its too early to make predictions, so I dunno.

If Anne Hathaway dies 5 months before opening weekend, then yes.

I think it's a pretty easy call that it will end up top 5 just because the film even exists at this stage, all they gotta do is not fuck up from here and #1 may end up a pretty easy slam dunk, with all the good will earned from TDK.

http://www.badassdigest.com/2011/03...ritten-ending-to-the-dark-knight-rises-script

Gary Oldman is telling people that there’s no written ending to the script for The Dark Knight Rises, that you have to get it from Nolan himself, who keeps it secure in his own head in order to stymie people like me from getting the ending and publishing it online.

Except as far as I know this isn’t true. There’s a written script and a written ending. It’s been seen by people in production, and it’s been seen by Warner Bros executives. Some of whom, I’ve heard multiple times, aren’t thrilled with it. But it exists.

What I imagine has happened is that Oldman, tied with Michael Caine as ‘Guy Most Likely To Say Any Old Shit About A Batman Movie,’ is only getting his own sides on this script so that he doesn’t blab anything. This may happen with a number of the actors, especially this far out from production, and which makes perfect sense. Of course that won’t stop this from becoming the true myth of The Dark Knight Rises, and it won’t stop people involved with the movie – possibly even Nolan himself – from continuing a delightful story, even if it has little basis in fact. After all it SOUNDS great that the script is so secure it exists only in Christopher Nolan’s brain.

It's usually a good sign when studio execs don't like it...And no, I'm not being sarcastic, I mean it. I'm guessing Nolan is ending his trilogy with a bang, something that'll actually bring closure which is something execs probably aren't too pleased with. After all, this super lucrative new Batman universe is being ended, and done so in a way where they can't just pick it up with another director.

DO IT NOLAN! DON'T HOLD BACK!

Nolan should be like "You don't like it? Okay have that other guy who made you a BILLION DOLLAR MOVIE make it...oh wait!"

after TDK and Inception were monumental successes they should just leave him the fuck alone.

Sorta agree with this. Although, who doesn't want to see a Nolan Batman 10 years down the line, but the guy has to give it up and move on at some point.

Welp. Batman is either dead or a quadriplegic. No two ways about it.

I want Nolan to make the best possible Batman movie yes. I want the execs to stay away so the fact they are upset should be positive. They won't interfere.

With that said I do want them to keep making Batman movies. I guess they will have to find a new way to keep them going. Not a reboot but something different.

I don't think he kills him off. Its probably closure in the sense where they can't pick up with a direct sequel.

Movie ends with batman lining up every shitty WB movie character up against a firing wall and blowing them away confirmed.

"In Batman 3 there is going to be a romeo and juliet dynamic where Batman loves Talia but can't have her because they're from different worlds. They finally make love in the snow outside of Ra's castle, and just then, the third act begins where Bane shows up and breaks Batman's back."

@SantiMateo I'm not going to spoil the ending. But it's a hard ending, requiring a reboot
less than a minute ago via Twitter for Mac in reply to SantiMateo

they have no choice but to reboot

That BATMAN reboot stuff coming out of the LA Times is what I was talking about re: WB unhappy w/ BATMAN 3. They won't 'possibly' reboot...

Going to be a definite trilogy then, as Nolan promised - leaving absolutely no way for WB to fuck it up with a sub-par sequel. Yessssss.

And I'm betting it'll be the back breaking too.

I WILL BREAK YOU confirmed.

Pfft, if Nolanverse Batman can't grow a new Spinal Cord and walk/run/Beat The Shit outta Crime, then he's not really a Batman, is he?

i think we can all agree that this will be the greatest of superhero films.

can't fucking wait for this shit man.

Following the Storyline of The Return of Bruce Wayne, I'm 108% confident.

Batman Prepped his Birth.

Starting early this time, are we? Precisely how many "greatest film of all time will" title holders will release next year, Jibril? Between Star Trek 2, this and new QT, I think you might overload.

greatest film of all time of the month

Man, I know how these things work and all, but they're already planning ahead for Batman 4(1? Redux Redux? Begins Earlier?)
http://www.badassdigest.com/2011/03...ld-be-the-most-important-superhero-movie-ever

WB honcho Jeff Robinov reveals to the Times that Batman 4 will definitely be a reboot, but that some familiar faces will be around. “Chris Nolan and [producing partner and wife] Emma Thomas will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is,” he says. I imagine that Nolan sticking around to produce is him throwing a bone to Warner Bros. While I understand that they can’t do anything to stop him from making his own Batman movie as he likes (he apparently has final cut on it), he can soften the blow and keep the lucrative relationship happy by lending his name to Batman Begins Again, which will help the transition in the public eye.

Anyways, huzzah for another Nolan "no idea is left off the table" Batman film.
