I'm sure I'm not the only one who laughed at how bad it is.

English isn't my native language, but even "is in ashes" sounds wrong to me. I would personally go for "When Gotham lies in ashes". He clearly doesn't say that though.

Football is a national pasttime, right up there with baseball. If you're going to scare people, blow up a major event .

Most people have agreed the football scene looks bad, but outside that most people also seem to think the trailer looks awesome. People laughing at how bad it is? Like actually laughing? No you seem to be the only one.

Now I have people make comments after some truly bad trailers/movies but I just saw this trailer last night with a packed house and I heard was "wow", "cool", or "awesome".

No one sat there going "haha I laugh at this trailer so campy".

Question is what did people want Bane to be dressed as? That is Bane. Bane wears a mask. Hardy is wearing a Mask. Could the Mask be different? Yes. But any incarnation of Bane would have him wearing a mask.

Football scene is admittedly out of place but again Selina's line are camp now?

Do people forget its a movie? If you wanted to, you could pluck 2-3 lines from any movie, especially superhero movies, and say its campy.
 
Really, Bane is entirely understandable. You guys prefer him to sound like a college going hipster or something? YA SO YOULL HAVE MY PERMISSION TO DIE? LIKE, WHEN THIS IS ALL OVER?
 
put me in a pile of people who did not have problem with bane voice hearing. Also not feeling it. The foot ball scene is repeat of bank robbery scene. Probably for entrance of villan.

Come on, it's got nothing to do with the dialog but the electronic/respirator effect which is so heavily processed. It sounds cool but I think they need to dial it down a bit. Too many are people are complaining for this not to be a real issue.

I agree, and this trailer and (this movie I am assuming) will just make her look even more Beautiful.

Then again, I have always found her very attractive, and she is playing a big role in a movie version of a Musical I love, so that may reinforce it.
 
I love how most the pessimists in this thread dare not venture in the main Dark Knight thread as they have 0 or hardly anything posted there. All the trolls have come to roost in this thread.

"is in ashes" makes perfect sense and it's what I've been hearing. It's also possible it's "lies". They both mean the same thing though.

If the football scene is the entrance of Bane, I hope there is plenty more to it. Maybe after her collapses the field he messes with the police around the stadium or something.

How is it anything like the bank robbery scene. We also know it's not the intro to Bane, since that's the prologue.

Early word was that she nailed the audition and that her performance will surprise people the most.

Oldman and Caine will be good as always. I think Freeman is a little underrated in these movies.

Still no idea what Marion and JGL are doing in the movie so you never know. Bale could steal the show if the story is truly focused on him as it should be.

Voiced my opinions there before this thread was made. Hardly posted in that thread prior to the new trailer, mainly because I didn't think TDK was very good aside from the Joker scenes. Based on this trailer I'm pretty confident in stating that when all is said and done, Batman Begins will still be the best live action Batman movie to date.

Sorry, I liked the other two movies and have an interest in this one but not enough to haunt the main thread. The new trailer popped and someone made a thread. So, I watched it, expecting the best, found it goofy, laughed and posted my comments.

I agree in the prologue there was issues (but then again i've only ever seen the bootleg shitty version). In the trailer though I had no problem understanding the line on my first time hearing it. In fact, I skipped back to it just to make sure It was what I thought it was, because of all the bitching over Bane's voice, and sure enough I had heard it correctly. Hopefully this could mean the trailer was further along in post or something, and they are fixing the effect for the rest of the film. I'm not above calling Nolan out on stuff like this. The Watanabe/carpet stuff in Inception was impossible to understand on my first viewing.

I'm just not sure what to make of his accent. Isn't he Spanish in the comics? Are they going for a Spanish accent or something else?
