Thank you Nolan for not making another.

Honestly, how could his cape slow him down? It's twisting in the wind and its wrapping around him. Not that I care. I'm just saying that can't be it.

If I read correctly, I think in the script the scene reads as batman using his cape and winding/spiraling down on purpose to slow him down. Like a one arm extended kind of thing.

Okay, well I can believe that. I guess it wasn't expressed that well in the actual scene.

Before nolangaf destroys me, how did that guy didn't hear the earth crumbling behind him?

More accurately, how did he not feel the earth crumbling behind him? That damage can't be so concentrated that he doesn't feel it from a few yards away.

obvious nolan explanation is that hines was so pumped up on adrenaline he probably thought it was him shaking the earth as he was running

Yeah they are loud....but the earth literally opens up behind him. Nevermind it being audible, that's some shit that will knock you the fuck over.
This was the part I was questioning, but I'm trying to see if it was merely a collapse which would not be as loud and he wouldn't have been knocked over if just a collapse. Not making excuses, I'm not sure.

There was also a couple of times where he seems to know what's happening and keeps running. Again, it's hard to tell for me.

Loved this trailer. We get a look at all the regulars and where they are and the chanting was really unsettling.

Somehow it manages to give the impression that it's more sobering and bleak than the Dark Knight was.

I have a feeling that tonally this film could be very different from BB and TDK. Which I think will be a good thing and a strong way to end out a trilogy.

Awesome trailer.

For sure. It honestly looks like he was just falling. I really hope Nolan gets his editing together on this one. When Bane fights Batman I want to be able to know what is going on.

Wait,
JGL
is in the movie? Haha, I had no idea. Trailer looks rad.
I N C E P T I O N 2 : The Dark Knight Rises

Joseph Gordon Levitt's part consists of running into a room, then the building blows up.

I realize you're joking, but wasn't it already established that JGL is also dressed as a cop during the big brawl on the steps of City Hall?

From the looks of it, the movie will have more humanity than the previous two, yet it'll also be over the top compared to them. Two awesome extremes.

This feels way different from TDK's tone already, it definitely looks much more ridiculous and out there.

yep it looks more like a Batman movie. TDK annoyed me with its staleness and preachy attitude. Here I'm seeing a more faithful Gotham City, more grit, and best of all, Bale doesn't look like he's going to be an obnoxious fuckhead this time.

Yeah, I agree with that. Nolan isn't going for TDK 2 because he knows he can't top it.

Ordinarily it takes real skill to pull off two such extremes but if anyone can nail it it's Nolan.

I feel that this is the right choice. I'd say that the trailer does feel more fantastical but the speech Hathaway gives almost makes it sound like civil war.

And when we saw Bruce Wayne in that prison (?) the strange design of the place give it a real Prisoner vibe. A mild sixties psychedelia if you will.

Nothing you said in your post makes sense. We have barely seen any wide shots of Gotham City, yet it looks "more faithful"? Faithful to what? You people are just the worst.

Nothing can be more out there than Lau's extraction scene in TDK. It was ridiculous and awesome. Nolan can make ridiculous work.

Yup. Nolan knows how to balance things. Inception should have been a disaster but the whole thing is skillfully balanced so the constant exposition actually works in the films favour.

Or something.

I think I know what he means. In Batman Begins Gotham really feels like it has as much character as any of the leads. The city is multi-layered and a lot more colourful, it really feels like Gotham, where as in TDK it really felt like Chicago.

He's talking about Gotham in TDKR, not BB. We haven't really seen shit.

Bale looks so much more like his BB size than his TDK size, which is fucking awesome. He was too damned skinny in TDK.

so wait, is the Riddler in this?

Yes played by Johnny Depp

No.

Has there been any real info on Bane released so far? Like, is he meant to be super strong and addicted to Venom, or what? The costume is interesting, and I'm glad they're playing up the intellect part of it (rich vs. poor thing is really clever, and the timing couldn't be better), but there doesn't currently seem to be much purpose to the goatse face mask. It looks like a muzzle.

Eh, that football scene looked pretty ridiculous and bad, but the rest of the trailer was alright. Judging just from this trailer, it looks like the worst of the 3 movies. However, judging an entire movie from a 2 minute trailer is stupid, so I'll just have to wait and see. Still, the trailer just doesn't excite me that much.

Sober criticism noted. Then again, the worst of the Nolan Batman movies is like the worst bacon. At the end of the day, it's still bacon and better than most other foods.

edit:
Is that
Martha's necklace?

FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU

Her ear's are next to the mirror (she's wearing the ears with the mask when talking to Bruce)
