Bane fiddles with the Detonator. Starts slapping and clicking it furiously. Then, finally, the last explosion goes off and Ward falls into the abyss.


Bane visibly grins from behind the mask and laughs jollily while adjusting his vest.

Ward just surviving and turning around is just so cliche. Yes this movie has weird, cheesy, impossible thing were never applied to "normal" people or situations. People point out all the crazy thing Batman does but that's the point. He's above the average person. Then the vaporizer isn't some machine rigged in someone's house. It's something built for military reasons by a weapons company.

I really would have preferred a birds-eye view like at the end of Joker's hospital scene. It would show the important part of the football scene, it's destruction. The way it is now is just too personal. Hines Ward is not significant to this movie or that scene at all and he was just there to create some cheesy drama. There better be a followup where he's killed right at the spot or something by Bane so that there's actual reason for him surviving.

Yes there were so many elements done better in Batman Begins. The mob, Batman's costume, Rachel, Batman voice, Gotham City, Wayne Manor, on and on.

I also miss using all the bats as a distraction. Seems like Batman gave up on using deception and fear as weapons in the second one. Hell he's fighting in the daytime in TDKR for Pete's sake.

I agree, not about the bats really though. It was kind of a nod to some of the source material for Batman Begins. Very similar to how it was done in the books.

I know conceptually that it's dark... But I have a hard time seeing a universe where a supervillain shooting a recognizeable football player in full gear doesn't come across as somehow goofy...

Well I agree. I just think focusing on Ward was a bad idea in general because the end result will always be dopey.

Her face looks like it's made of candlewax and has been standing next to a hot radiator for too long. Everything about her just... droops. Her eyes, her cheeks, even her mouth looks tired and worn and droopy.

I understand that attractiveness is a matter of taste, but this person's face is just off too me. If she was a drawing I'd tell the artist too look at a real human and try again.
