The FFXV Prompto Fan Club

My favorite was the

mushroom quest and getting pictures with the giant dinosaur creature

I like him send gladiolus, he's got the bouncer/bodyguard vibe which i dig.
 
My favorite photographer!! Love Prompto. He really is the best, and a lot of time expresses the same things going through my head when it comes to some plot points lol. I like that role the writers gave him -- being somewhat of an outsider to the rest of the group, he also kinda feels like an extension of us. Somewhat.

Either way he's a lovable dude. And comes out with some of the most hilariously innocent stuff.

Yeah his HP sucks balls, plus you have to give up an accessory slot if you want to equip the camera strap for some asinine reason.

Cool character though, I love seeing him bust out the machinery and really open up a can of whup ass.
 
I haven't hated a character so much since Cloud.

Last time it was Cloud for being a moronic lead character made into a clown at the end of disc 1. This time is Prompto's extremely annoying character and voice acting.
 
I'll consider it if he ever stops being the one weak link in my party that I constantly have to babysit and feed him restorative items like he's a weak widdle baby in his widdle high chair.

I play in JPN and he's so charming. Couldn't stand his English VO.

1) Ignis
2) Prompto
3) gladio

Funny cause initially I couldn't careless about Prompto but he grew on me, which is weird because I don't like positive patty characters.
 
Outside of that scene the character is not that great, a fun character, but in terms of well developed..., that's another thing.

If you want fun and actually interesting and developed character play TiTS.
 
I actually liked all the bros far more than I expected. I was expecting a bunch of 2edgy4u dialog and angst, shounen anime-style writing, etc. They ended up being surprisingly likable and mature.

They're nowhere near as douchey as they appear.
 
Prompto is great and watching Brotherhood right before I saw the motel scene certainly helped my appreciation of him.

FFXV has a long list of issues and when I first saw the characters, I thought I would hate them. Having finished the game yesterday, I consider XV to be one of the lesser FF games. But Noctis and his pals are the best party in the entire series without a doubt imo.
 
Prompto had the best phrases in the game.

After winning a fight, he said "We made it! Now let's go celebrate by eating something dead."

Fucking loved it.

Sort of like most real people who look like that really. It's almost like the high school movies are wrong...
 
He's a absolute national treasure. No wonder Noctis keeps him around.

I mean look at their roles:
Noctis can fish and make sure we have food.
Ignis can take care of the cooking.
Glad has survivor skills to keep them alive out in the world.
Oh and Prompto.. He. He can take pictures.
 
I haven't started the game, I will once finals are done. But so far from what I seen of him in the anime he's such a loser. This guy spends his night sniffing a letter from a girl he doesn't know.

The guy with the glasses is better and far more likable.

aw c'mon, he was a lonely child.
 
I thought I'd absolutely hate him.

His Gackt-esque design, his extremely annoying japanese voice...

...but yeah, he is pretty charming (Final Fantasy fanfare !) and his english voice actor is significantly less annoying than whatever eldritch abomination they got to voice him in japanese.

Another thing I might add, is that I identify with Prompto A LOT in the sense that I'm the amateur photographer in my group of friends.

You know that guy who always stops to take photos of the scenery/friends while on a trip/stroll? Yeah, that's me. I'm always taking photos of everything, even the smallest things like insects, curious-looking plants, the sky, buildings, animals, etc.

While playing FFXV, I really saw myself reflected in Prompto. I'm the guy who tells his friends to stop in order to take a photo.

One of the many reasons I love Prompto. He understands my love for photos. :)
 
Yep he's a sweetheart! I expected to hate him and am really glad that's not the case. To be honest I like the whole crew: I think it was very smart to give them clear roles and relationships with Noctis. It elevates them as a group to be my favourite ensemble from an FF game, helped by the all the driving/chatting/camping sequences. All this I gleaned from just a couple of hours with the game, and the effect still hasn't worn off 17 hours in.
 
Ehh I like him fine but Gladio is my favorite of the three, then Ignis, and Prompto still came in last.

I'd probably like him a bit more if he wasn't so terrible in combat but in general I didn't like him as much as the other two.
 
He's one of the best FF characters, I was surprised by how much I ended up liking him. The VA did a great job also.

Nah, my expectations had nothing to do with real people. They had everything to do with the abysmal dialog and insufferable characters in FF's recent past, plus the apparent level of teen angst they were trying to portray in all of Noctis' promo art.
 
I became a fan when he say the chocobo lyrics. Also, his starshell move is vital to me when I fight a horde of daemons.

Also, thank god, SE changed the hide and seek line to something more serious in Chapter 0.

I have the Japanese audio, I haven't even heard him in English, and don't plan to, but man how I dislike Natu's voice acting, can't stand the poor Tetsuya Kakihara and most of his characters.
 
Yep, I like him a lot too. Still only on chapter 5, but he's really likable and his photography shtick is fun. He's a pretty relatable character too.
