"I actually think wants are fine, as long as they're accompanied by a nice-sized list of things they're going to give up."


No, that's fine but they're people who keep posting wants and giving up nothing and it just seems to go against the point of the thread. This shouldn't be about I don't feel like paying for x-game so give me for free but rather some one isn't using/collecting dust and would rather give it to someone who would like to play it and appreciate it and hopefully move the copy along to other prospects. I'm just saying, if no agrees I'll keep my mouth shut.

I would if I had Lunar 2 :(. Someone else snagged Lunar 2 in the thread I think...maybe they'd be interested.

I absolutely agree that that's the spirit of the thread, and we should ridicule those people just looking to take and not give, but let's not get rid of wants entirely.

Some of them have promised to post stuff, but i agree with what you say. Spam of Want posts kill this thread.

Ya, that's mostly what I was talking about. It's annoying to just see spams.

Especially those assholes looking for component cables :lol

the funniest shit is when someone who has offered absolutely nothing and made dibs on nearly everything starts complaining about people being greedy, and waxing philosophical about the way it "oughta be"

Well if no one claims Animal Crossing, I wouldn't mind trying it out. I already grabbed 2 games yesterday, so I'll leave someone else the chance first. I'm sure my sister would at least like the game if I didn't.

would anyone be interested in some atari 2600 games? i have a couple with the box, otherwise they are game-only. i can post a list when i get home.

i'm gonna go to the post office in about an hour and a half, so if nobody else wants it before then, i'll send it to you.
i don't have any spare CD cases though, so it'll be thoroughly wrapped in bubble wrap and positive thoughts.

Well I should request I guess in case anyone happens to wander in here with some stuff...

Anyone have any good GC RPGs I should experience? I had the chance to pick up Tales of Symphonia and Fire Emblem not long ago...but I have no clue what else is out there for the system (other than Skies, which I hear is great).

I'd ask for PS2 RPGs...but I think I have most of the good ones that aren't bloody rare now (I'm just missing the Shin Megami Tensei games...been trying to win Nocturne on eBay for a few weeks now).
 
Unfortunately I keep my gaming library fairly sparse by selling games I'm done with and using that money to help buy new games. I am not at home to look through my entire library but this can get things started at least. It got mixed reviews if I recall correctly but I enjoyed it even if it was a bit short.

I am amazed by the generosity of the people in this thread and I second the notion that people try and donate these games when they're done with them to that charity Neogaf was promoting at one point. If we all did that it would make this thread that much more amazing.

I will look when I get home to see if there's anything else I can post.

Okay, forgive me if this is too junky, but it might be useful to someone. I've got a Naki universal (PS2/XB/GC) Soul Calibur II joystick. I haven't messed with it in years, but I vaguely remember the 'Cube connection being unreliable. If it would be worth the shipping to somebody, it's theirs.

Thanks for the info. I have no Atari 2600 anyways, so I'd have no use for it. Never really got into console gaming until mid-PS2 era.

That's why I said to PM me.

I'm not really looking to get rid of the thing in general, but if no one else has one that they can offer him, then I'd be willing to work something out with the dude to help him out.



I have some stuff to list for free in here later, but I have to actually go throughit all to see what it is first. It's mostly manuals to games I've traded in, or various promotional items for games that I no longer want. I'm happy to give those away for free. I just need the list first is all.
