I would expect Elden Ring to get it, but back in 2018 I was expecting Red Dead Redemption 2 to get it and GOW did, so let's see what happens, lol.

Bayonetta 3 should be in best game category. It's sad they feel they only need to pick ONE Nintendo game. This was easily Switchs strongest year.

- Plague Tale Requiem was a league above everything nominated in audio design, game direction and maybe aside from elden ring (whichs assets were so low quality the games visuals were carried by the artstyle) in the art direction
- Stray being anywhere aside maybe the art direction is laughtable
- Rest is pretty good, but its pretty clear this has just been a popularity contest for years

The narrative is great. It's a family drama with external gods trying to paly a role in the conflicts of humans. Just because a narrative isn't spoon fed doesn't mean its bad. Go watch Eraser head or any Aronofsky film. Movies been experimenting with multiple ways of telling stories for years. Indies have as well...AAA games are just very stuck on the typical three act structure told to you directly.
