The Game Awards GOTY nominees leaked

and it's the most predictable list of all time

I would've had Split Fiction over DS2 personally, but otherwise that list is solid.

Just a crazy stacked year. I'm sure plenty will argue for Blue Prince, Indiana Jones, ARC Raiders, Ghost of Yotei, Dispatch, etc.. as well

If these are true then we haven a somewhat even distribution between indies, AA and triple AAA.

Indie
Hades 2
Silksong

AA
Expedition 33
Kingdom Come

AAA
Donkey Kong
Death Stranding 2

E33 *should* win.

But I can't rule out Keighley getting Kojima on stage any way possible and fixing the votes for DS2.
If Kojima comes on stage it will be the only time I've seen anything about DS2. That came was released under a rug. I've not seen a single frame of that game. Not one.

E33 is going to win or silksong but it will be more like Hollow Knight winning it.

But my bet is E33. Looking at the circumstances, ex-Ubisoft devs, french, JRPG and heavy on story I can see it.
Would be also a good message to layoffs developers of big publishes.

Arc Raiders not even nominated.

Out of that list I hope E33 wins it.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - Didn't like.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach - Waiting for PC.
Donkey Kong Bananza - Meh/forgotten.
Hades II - Didn't play, no interest.
Hollow Knight: Silksong - Didn't play, no interest.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II - Started off strong but ultimately dropped and forgotten.

Guess I'll vote for DS2, a game I haven't even played, as part of the process of elimination.

I would have voted Mafia since they tend to stick to single player games.

Hopefully the good games that released this year are at least nominated for something else.

What each A stands for?
Is just the metric the gaming industry uses on games regarding their video game production cost/commercial viability. Originally the rating comes from the finance industry regarding bonds.

Silksong and Hades 2 < E33 and Kingdom Come < Donkey Kong Death Stranding 2 (Less expensive to most expensive)

Granted because Nintendo and the switch one might argue the classification here.
But iirc the team who done Donkey Kong was the Mario Odyssey team, so I imagined cheap it was not.

I'll die on this hill:

Troy baker better win best performance for Higgs in DS2. Only suitable exception is Aaron Paul for Mecha Man or maybe Charlie Cox for Gustave.

But Troy carried DS2. Every scene with him was absolute cinema.

I'll be happy if Hades II, Expedition 33 or Donkey Kong get the win. They're the best games released not just this year, but in the last few.
