This doesn't look like Last Blade 2.

Why isn't this Last Blade 2?

sweet memories of me and my friends putting in 4 hour Dreamcast sessions of winner stays on battles. This is one sweet game!!

Garou: Mark of the Wolves is a beast also though dude.. Trust me you will love it!!

Just in case anybody has any doubts, the PR just got sent out:

Throw Some Fists of Fury in “Garou-Mark of the Wolves” on Xbox LIVE® Arcade

Battle it out in “Fatal Fury: Garou-Mark of the Wolves” on Xbox LIVE Arcade this Wednesday, June 24. This classic Japanese arcade fighter game is the latest release in the “Fatal Fury” series and its coming straight to Xbox LIVE Arcade, your premier destination for quality, action-packed downloadable games.

Hit the streets of Southtown and fight for the tournament win with legendary tactics like “Just Defense,” “T.O.P.” and “Braking.” Train your skills and choose from a variety of characters to maximize your street fighting credit on Xbox LIVE.

Published and developed by SNK Playmore Corp., “Fatal Fury: Garou-Mark of the Wolves” will be available for 800 Microsoft Points worldwide. The game is rated T for Teen by the ESRB. For more details, please visit: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/g/garoumofwxbla/

*Xbox LIVE Gold membership required for online multiplayer

Once again, retarded regionalism is defeated on the Xbox Live Arcade.

800 points is a steal for one of the best fighters in Neo Geo history. I have the Dreamcast version and nearly bought the Geo cart about sixteen different times, but I will fork over the dough for this release, too.

Cannot wait until Wedensday, and it's a nice game to hold me over until BlazBlue next week. I just hope the gameplay isn't tinkered with and the timing is right.

It's a shame we live in a world without SFIV fightpads. Somebody ought to invent those.

its a shame i would have to pay extra just to play fighting games with a decent dpad and have wired pads at that.

Eh... better than bitching about it since Microsoft is obviously never going to fix the d-pad on the controllers you own even if they would decide to ever fix the d-pad on the controllers they continue to sell.

A pad plus the game would cost $50, compared to other methods of obtaining this game I would call that a deal.

I'm cleaning my 360 stick when I get home tonight, and firing up the Neo for the first time since I moved last month to get some Garou stick practice in. I'm on the east coast, so what time can I expect this to hit the arcade tomorrow night? I always forget with XBLA games...

Just wake up in the morning and It'll feel like Christmas <3

This is pretty sweet :D Been meaning to get into Garou for ages, hopefully people will actually be playing it!

Okay, so you're aware of the solution, but were baiting a post pointing it out so you could complain? :lol

Enjoy the wait for a fixed d-pad on the official controller. If it's taking this long, you can bet on one of the Xbox 720 bullet points to be "Better D-pad" just to have one more thing to hook people.

It'll be my first time playing this game tomorrow, and i'm so psyched about it. If anybody wants to get some games in my XBL GT is SoulFist7. This is gonna be insane.

GT: riskVSreward, but I won't be hopping online immediately, I wanna see how many achievements I can get before I call it a night.

What makes this game so good? I never played it when it came out.
Oh man, what doesn't make it good? It's a well balanced fighter* with a diverse cast to choose from. SNK's answer to SF3, plays a bit similar to 3S but with it's own style. If you like 3S, or 2D fighters in general, it's still one of the best games to own today (IMO). Online netplay is the deal breaker here, I can only hope the netcode is up to par with most modern fighters.

* The best players would argue that Kevin or Gato are overpowered, but I wouldn't be concerned with that considering the probable level of play on XBLA. You have to be reeeeeaaaaaaaallllly good to play any character to it's fullest.

The biggest thrill was seeing this game when it first came out on the Neo Geo, it had the best graphics and animations ever on the system, hard to believe it's a 16 bit game.

I wouldn't hesitate to get the demo and see for yourself.

This game is absolutely amazing. I stumbled upon it by accident one time and, having never heard of it, was blown away. Will buy the instant it's up on Live.

Honestly, if I could only have one game from now until the day I died, this would be it. Regardless of whether or not I had people to play against.

If you like HD Remix (or not, I suppose) and want something a bit more fast-paced and interesting, go for this.

Yeah, this game is much more fun than HD Remix. That game is just too brutal at higher levels.

I pray that online play is smooth...I can see myself putting a lot of time into this until...oh shi--blazblue next week! then MvC2 after that!

Garou is like that good friend you always forget to call :\

Sucks that it isn't coming to psn. No way I am buying a fighter for 360. Really wanna play this too. Too bad the dc version I bought wouldn't work on my dc for some damn reason.

I understood this sentiment toward the beginning of this generation when there weren't many options for 360 gamers and not many fighters besides DOA4, but with the stick/pad options and the high quantity of quality fighting games out/coming out, there really isn't any reason to not invest in a decent fighting stick/pad so you can just enjoy. It does sorta suck that you aren't given something viable out of the box, but IMO, you aren't on either console.

even on system with a decent pad like the PS2. I still had to track down one of those Saturn-style pads! There's always a better pad...unless you're playing Saturn, I guess. but who still plays Saturn, aside from the occasional game of guardian heroes/PDS.

I played Fighters Megamix and Virtua Cop 2 last week. LONG LIVE SATURN! :D

Except that I have already bought and modded a stick for my PS3. I would rather buy a second stick for PS3 instead.

And come on your idea still isn't viable in the smallest sense. So if I want to enjoy this game with friends I need to buy 2 arcade sticks? What happens when a friend comes over who prefers pads? Then I gotta buy one of the mad catz pads too?(which is impossible btw since I am in Japan).

The PS3 is better because at least the standard controller isn't quite as atrocious. Sure the triggers are stupid but for most fighting games you can easily just turn them off. I have a hori stick for my PS3 and it works perfect. We rotate if there are people that prefer the stick, but usually my friends don't like sticks so they use the PS3 pads and I use the stick.

I'm not sure, but I think XBLA games come up at 3AM EST, which is 2 hours from now. I'll be sure to let GAF know.

Quick Google check says 5am EST. :/
