"Just one more try on this level, I swear to God."

*game over, jumps right back into level*

Having finished the Quick Look now, Super Meat Boy looks rad as hell, but I don't know if I can bring myself to that level of masochism. Hell, a couple levels of Splosion Man frustrated me enough, I'm not sure that I can handle that again.
Splosion Man isn't half as difficult as Super Meat Boy. The precision and timing required are much closer to I wanna be the guy (without the nasty surprises, but still).

Oh god. I don't know if I could handle this game then. I'd break something.

It's really not that baffling at all if you look at the games history. PC and WiiWare versions were always planned and XBLA was a moneyhat.
Not quite. They wanted the game everywhere, and pitched to both Sony and ms. Ms responded first, and thus published the game on XBLA, in return for exclusivity on the HD consoles. The other versions are probably coming later as a result of this deal, and the fact that they're a very small team doesn't help them come any quicker. Sony weren't fast enough to male them an offer before MS snapped them up. (though they did eventually respond)

Fair enough. Still a Moneyhat, though :lol.

Christ, just watched the Super Meat Boy quick look and I need that game now. :lol
Brad gets a lot of shit for dying on quick looks but you have to give it to him, when he loves a game and goes for it he tends to be extremely hardcore and skilled, way more so than the rest of the GB crew. His Starcraft and Quake antics made that all too clear.

many new QLs and I am stuck with shitty 256 kbps due to my ISP stupidity ( need 1+ hour to download 20 min in lower quality ) :(

This game is terrible ,why they copied Armored Core like this ?

anyway since Brad and Jeff mentioned Shogo: Mobile Armor Division , I want to say that the mech levels in FEAR 2 were awesome , Monolith Productions still has it.

actually I think Monolith Productions or Volition ( Red Faction ) can make good Mech games , the mechs action in Red Faction: Guerrilla were freaking ace , shame the western Market is just not the right place for mech games.

They actually talked about FEAR 2 once, saying the mech stuff was incredible, but the rest of the game was pretty poor.

so how did brad unlock that minus world level? and what would he have gotten for beating it?
I think beating the minus level might unlock a minus world. I found it odd that Brad was pretty confident that he had unlocked all the worlds even though the little world hud in the right corner had 3 spots with questions marks left, one of which is in front of world 1.

Super Meat Boy looks amazing. I wasn't aware of it until that quicklook, but now I'm buying it as soon as it's available.

Still don't think this looks that bad.

I quite enjoyed it, actually. It's nothing spectacular, but it's a solid action game and the mechs have a really solid feel to them. The gameplay certainly isn't broken in any way. I also strangely like the on-foot sections okay, if only for the change in scale. I'd give it a solid 7/10 objectively, and I dug the clean (if uninspired) style.

I think there's a tiny chance for Bandage Girl to glitch out when you enter the level, making you go to minus world.

That's kind of what I mean; I beat Splosion Man in two sittings despite two particular levels that frustrated me. After that, and seeing how Super Meat Boy trounces it in terms of difficulty, I don't know if I can put myself through that kind of abuse even though I know I'd love the hell out of it.

any spoilers ? it's Bradley "Dr spoilers" Shoemaker , so I am very afraid.
Every time he says "I don't want to spoil anything" I turn the thing off if I care at all about it. The dude needs to figure out how not to do that.

Looks like Brad didn't play the game. He is like the "guest" on this QL. About spoilers, I haven't finished watching it yet, but I didn't noticed any heavy spoilers. Maybe 1 or 2 minor spoilers about the mission he's doing in the video, but that's it. Most of it is about gameplay and similarities to FO3.

i would expect no less than full details of all the possible endings :lol

edit:
the fuck is this, loading times: the game? he fast travelled and it loaded and then he was being shot for like a half second and then LOADING and he warped about 100 metres and was getting shot again. what even happened there?!

Brad can sure work those pipes.

Holy crap at the game though, New Vegas has given their xbox some kind of disease.

This is also the first time I figured out how DJ Hero actually played, looked more fun than I ever gave it credit for.

He did try to get Jeff to say which faction he sided with. He just can't help it.

Jeff revealed which factions you can side with, how many endings he thinks there are, and that you can 100
your speech to speech your way through the ending.

And then Brad said he didn't want to know because he hasn't played through the game. Thank god for that.

I've said some mean things about Brad in quick looks because of spoiling stuff, but wow, they need to keep him for every quick look where singing is required.

So it seems like the DJ Hero 2 locking has something to do with having 100 friends, and you need to delete one to fix it. What a bizarre bug.

Hasn't games had issues with full friends lists before too? so weird.
