If you guys don't think giant bomb has a bias in favor of the 360, I want you to think about the games they tend to spend multiple podcasts over. I want you to think about how much time they spend talking about fucking achievements AGAIN and I thusly blank out. I want you to think about the various smaller projects on psp, ds, wii/wiiware, and even the ps3/psn that get mentioned in a release date and at the very best will get a quicklook. Why the hell isn't there a single bit.trip review on the site? Limbo deserved the review process compared to any one of the 5 bit trip games that have been released? Oh, I'm being stupid, its a wiiware game, THATS WHY.

I may be mad.

Because giant bomb has always been about covering every game that comes out...

Let's see... recent multi-cast games..

Fallout: New Vegas, multiplatform
Starcraft 2: PC Only
Fable 3: They spent multiple podcasts talking about how they hated it
GT3: A PS3 game they didn't even have yet

That sounds like a 360 bias to me.

If you are mad now, you must have been super pissed last gen when gaming sites reviewed only the PS2 versions of games then copy and pasted that exact same text into the Xbox/GameCube review.

ugh stop shitting up the thread with tired fanboy dreck. guess what? they are 4 guys and cannot cover every game. shocking i know right?

You're just confusing simple preferences with bias. Jeff always made it pretty clear, that for him the great thing about GB is that he and the crew only have to cover games they actually want to cover and have some kind of connection to. And it is indeed pretty clear that they generelly prefer big budget western productions which just so happens to be the strength of the 360. If you're into Handheld or Japanese gaming GiantBomb is certainly not the place to go and that's fine; I don't think anyone wants to hear Jeff and Ryan talk about Etrian Odyssey or Monster Hunter anyway. :lol

Jeff and Ryan's palpable fear and unease at Demon's Souls or Etrian Odyssey III was hilarious.

One of the recent MH got a quick look, and was liked, though.

indeed, they play and review games that they like or they think the GB readers will check out. it's what makes them different.

Or we could wait for Kessler to come back.

I hope he comes back as possible, if only to incite more impotent nerd rage. :lol Plus I think he was an alright (and enthusiastic) guy that got a lot of unwarranted hate.

They have such good radio voices though. I can't quit them :(
Would you really quit them over some stupid agenda anyway? They are highly entertaining and review/play games they want to. I'm jealous of them if anything. I really wish I had their job.

Looks like Pure but more insane

Not really. Pure is way more trick focused and pretty much SSX with ATVs. This looks more like pure racing game with insane tracks and ALOT of air control. I don't know if going with ATVs was a good idea (who is still into those?). If they went the futuristic route they could have done something more crazy than Wipeout.

Well, they did mention lack of tricks but visually it reminded me of Pure. I guess the devs are going for the MX vs ATV crowd.

The 360 achievement problems are really strange though. They blame the new dashboard, but every other achievement tracking site still synchs daily.

I feel like I should point out that we were the first ones back up and synching stuff after that site redesign broke everyone's shit, but that hardly matters now. Anyway, we're pulling individual achievements, not just your score and recently played games. For that stuff, there's a limit as to how hard we can hit their servers for that data, which for a userbase our size forces us to stretch the initial run over what will eventually be a month-long period.

Once everyone has completed their initial run, we'll be able to switch to incremental updates and the whole thing should move more quickly. We'll also have to redesign the user-level achievement pages at some point to remove the graphs and some other data, as their site redesign removed some things (like when you last played a game).

Whole thing's been a real hassle.

Their whole new design sucks. Like if I want to see what games a friend has been playing recently, it only shows their three most recent on their profile. If I want to see more I have to compare games, but it orders them by the games I've most recently played, so it's useless for that purpose.
