Ughh again with the Team ICO comparisons. On the one hand it makes sense, but on the other hand saying "Like, it seems like could have dropped right out of their (Team ICO's) concept art book" is just downright wrong. The art style doesn't even remotely compare. There are themes of bonding and shadowy creatures etc.., but it's all so on the fucking nose. Especially the bonding. "You've collected friendship points!". In Team ICO games the bonding is organic, natural, unlike a video game.

On its own merits Majin looks like a decent and fun game.

My thoughts exactly.

You know I've always been interested in this game even if it looks a little a rough 25 bucks seems like a good price though.

So Brad calls it a kids game and continues to be stumped by a "puzzle" the rat told him how to do explicitly not a minute before.

"LETS FARM"

I really want them to do a Quick Look of Demolition Company.

It's "from the makers of Farming Simulator."

I mean just look at this shit, particularly 2:26 and on:

My favorite thing about all these sims is that, for some reason, they use the old Flight Simulator font. Because if you make a simulator you have to make sure people know it without reading the name!

Why is every fucking game compared to ICO?

God i'm starting to get pretty fed up of both ICO and SOTC because of these kind of stupid comparisons.

EDIT: "Its kind of a kiddy game"

Really?

Yeah, I consider myself an artistic person and I'm not seeing it. This game is much more cartoony looking than anything Team ICO has done. Especially the Majin character who, as Vinny said, looks like a Wild Thing. That was a pretty inaccurate thing to say.

Probably gonna pick it up if it goes to around $20 again, though. I don't know why Brad was being so down on the game toward the beginning. Looks like a decent enough game, especially at a budget price. Maybe he's still bitter about the last budget title he played about a certain quirky FBI agent?

Plus the talking animals are hilariously voiced.

Pac-Man Party suprisingly looks like one of the better party games released in a while.
It looks like a clone of Sonic Shuffle with less appealing characters which was a clone of Mario Party with less appealing characters to me.

But to each his own!

So despite the fact some former Team ICO staff worked on this game, and the concept is eerily similar to TLG, the comparison still isn't fitting?

Those games do get name dropped a little too often, but this is a case where it makes complete sense, like it would with PoP'08 or LMNO etc.

Not every fucking game. Just the fucking games that are somewhat similar in concept and appearance to ICO. The same goes for non-fucking games as well, I guess.

No joke :lol His biggest immediate complaint is voice acting and graphics and he's already trying to knock the developers down a peg.

So buy watching that quicklook, would you say he was wrong?

Just because it's a new IP doesn't mean the media has to slober over it because someone is doing something different. It looked like a pretty average game.

P.S. OMG at Farm Sim QL. :lol :lol :lol

Up there with the Shred QL.

:O really ?are you sure about this ? what I know about this game is that it's from the FOLKLORE team ( Game Republic ) , not former Team Ico guys :/

The former Team ICO guys are in the Game Republic staff.

Majin is being developed by Game Republic, a studio that boasts several former members of Team ICO and a track record consisting of PS3 fan favorites such as Folklore.

so that why Folklore was so damn good.

shame about this ugly ass boring game tho.
I've still not really played Folklore, that and Demon's Souls are probably the only two PS3 exclusives I still have to get to that I intend to play.

Sure. Game Republic's stuff is fine, but my expectations aren't quite anything above that, and it especially doesn't look much worse off than their past work.

I love how so many people in here complain about Quick Looks yet watch them every time. When I don't like something I just ignore it.
