I wonder if the 3DS capture hardware they have can download games.

During the summer drought, I'm sure there are DSiWare titles that could provide some QL amusement

that was pretty incredible. very funny QL. zombie mode with torsos controllable and writhing around on the ground was ridiculous in the best possible way

This is why I wish more people gave the original game a chance. It's far from the best game but it is funny and fun to play with friends. This one seems to be slightly better as a game and also funnier. I do wish they'd shown Generals mode though because I'm curious about it.
 
Deadliest Warriors quick look was great. Funny to see the guys get more into it the longer they played.

Also I can't wait until the next Harry Potter quick look comes out. The Half-Blood Prince quick look is my all time favorite, I've gotten several people interested in the site using that video.
 
I don't see any reason to dislike Patrick or Kessler, but then again, I don't watch TNT/Happy hour, so I may be missing something.

I actually found the EDF quicklook to be great-even Kessler was funny in it.
 
I wasn't overly annoyed by Kessler, but yeah, I get the 'hate'. That smarmy pretense and faux excitement and trying ape or at least get in on that distinctive style of banter those core guys have naturally had for years, was just eww, like zany radio zookeeper guy eww.

Unless that's completely his own personality and how he is, maybe I'm off on this. But I'm guessing by the way Ryan was sort of cold on him, it kinda isn't and was sort of just for the QL.

I'm fine with him until he talks out of his ass (like on the PS2 during the quicklook) but that's why Ryan's there. Banter's perfect otherwise for a stultifyingly boring to watch game like EDL, too.
 
I think Kessler did fine. People whinge so much in this thread. Kessler, Alex, Patrick, Lemon, almost every single bombcast guest, people even gave Drew shit when he first joined. It's Kesslers second EVER QL. How many hours of video did the GB crew do before joining? Tons. Would you like Brad if he did videos like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrNY8i1Wz4Y
 
Ryan and Patrick tag-teaming Matt was good fun. being the fall guy is a valid role. Anyway, the game doesn't look very hot. Seems they added things that only obfuscate the real appeal of EDF. Why not take that time to add bigger and dumber enemies? (are there any big, dumb enemies that we didn't see in the quick look worth mentioning?)

Only zombies can fight without their upper bodies. Slice mode is basically one-hit kill.

I wonder what having just zombie turned on does though. Perhaps a way of making matches last longer than 30 seconds. I assume you'll still have to chop both of the legs off to win.

See, that's what I wanted to see (or did I miss it?). That would kind of make it interesting. Even if its fighting mechanics aren't very good, it'd be transformed into a game of forbearance. And that's cool.

To those complaining about Kessler and Patrick, it seems that things will only get worse for you as Giant Bomb and Whiskey Media grows. It seems like anyone, other than the main team of people are "wrong" in your eyes.

Then, the same people complain when GB don't cover a specific game. They cannot cover everything without expanding, and they cannot expand without new people.

Klepeck is one of the best news guys in the business, and yet he seems to be not good enough for people.

I don't think it's the write-ups that bother people (or does the criticism extend to those?). It's his personality. I like him and don't mind Kessler. But there's another member of the Whiskey Media family who's like nails on a chalkboard for me. There's a reason why we irrationally hate select people: it allows us to irrationally love others with the same zeal.

This "you only want the main 4 guys" argument is so flawed. I like Patrick, I like the other interns, I like the tech guys and I like the Screened/Tested guys getting in on their content.

I just hate Kessler. ONE person.
 
I like Kessler. Last time he was there, there was a good amount of JRPG quick looks that wouldn't have been shown otherwise... just a shame I couldn't watch any of them because his voice goes through me.

Also this but replace Kessler with Patrick.

It's not his style that he writes his news and other things in, but his personality. I can not stand him.

Yeah, its like he tries to be like the other guys when he doesn't have to. But I guess that's what a GB intern would try to do, show a lot of personality to get noticed. It just ends up being annoying to the viewers.
