The Game Room stuff seems a little ore interesting, challenges seem like a great idea, wonder if they will move over to other games. Wonder how locked down the rewind is (assume its not in ranked).

Ok first let me say that I do enjoy some GiantBomb videos but ... is it just me that thinks that the GiantBomb humour is overrated? I see all these posters going "oh so awesome, so funny, Brad rocks" and after I watch I just feel that the humour is taking to much space and they talk way to much crap just distracting from the game in general.
Now sure, they can be funny sometimes. I just think that it's getting old and stale when they try to be funny all the way trough a quicklook. That and they often suck hard at the games they are playing. I would enjoy a more serious approach to quicklooks ...

Yeah sometimes it can be a bit too much with the jokes, but that's just the way these guys have always been, ever since the Gamespot days. Though probably more so now that they have their own site and no one is telling them what to do. But just go back and look at some of the "On the spot" videos and you'll notice that they haven't really changed much since then when it comes to cracking jokes all the time, and that's why people liked them in the first place I think.
But yeah, the Quick Looks could need some seriousness sometimes.
Sometimes the jokes are appropriate, like in the Story Time QL or whatever that horrible "game" was called. But other times it just makes you completely uninterested in the game.
That said, Giant Bomb is easily my favorite gaming website just because of their personalities. So they must be doing something right.
I don't think I've seen an interview with Ken Lobb before btw. He seemed like a very nice guy that totally understands what that game needs.
I totally dig that the game will have the GoldenEye guns as well. Really smart move considering they'll probably never get to do something like this for GoldenEye.

They still dont have a dante's inferno review, yet they have a bioshock 2 review which was released few days later... I don't get this.

The game's room is almost awesome. It's just the pricing's too high; if it aloud my friends to play the games for free whilst I hosted the room I might of changed my mind, as it is the games shouldn't cost more than a buck a piece (it's just emulation of old arcade titles after all)

I think there never was one because they got the game early, but weren't allowed to release footage of it until near release. By that time, they had played a good portion of it, and it wouldn't really have been a quick look. I guess they could have filmed one before and just held it back, but probably too many other games to cover. This seems to happen to games they get well in advance.Sega1991 said:

I'm sad, because I love quicklooks and I can't watch any of them. A couple of months back I lost the ability to watch any video on GiantBomb, they all stop at "loading...". I've tried several versions of Firefox, I've tried the development version of Chrome, I've played with user agent strings in case Linux for some reason is blocked, I've tried several versions of Flash and nothing works.
A long shot, I know, but has anyone here had the same problem, with no videos loading, and if so how did you solve it?

So I decided to break my Heavy Rain moraitorium and watch the Quick Look. What the hell is with those stupid glasses? It's not going to get me to cancel my preorder or anything, but I REALLY want to see how QD justifies having wacky futureman tech for the FBI in their gritty, dark and realistic game. It just seems goofily out-of-place.

Video game is video game, news at 11. Would you rather be pressing 'X' at every bush trying to find clues, hunting the pixel in a 3D space? Or have clues pop up on screen by themselves?

Yeah I wish they kept as real as possible. I mean they should have gone for the forensic laboratory approach. It would have taken a few weeks to analyse the evidence in the game, but at least it would be realistic.
