Jeff has repeatedly said he disliked "Brawlers" kind of games in various quick looks. Always saying that he doesn't know how to make that genre work. I expected him to be a little nicer to TMNT. I didn't think Ryan and Vinny would all hate so much on the game tho.

I don't know. I think it's ok for what it is.

Oh man. I was sooooo anticipating a "massive damage" or a "E3 09 MS press conference bug" reference during that boss fight part. :lol

I wanted them to ask "so wait, this is a game for the XBox 720?" or something to that extent when the dude said the game is a "next gen styled Metroidvania".

They're never gonna pick on a guest that they don't intimately know and brought them "exclusive" footage and allowed them to record it anyway..

I think the most glaring proof on the inanity of many brawlers was when the TV went out and they just mashed buttons and moved around and by the time it came back on, the screen was cleared of enemies.:lol

That just reminds me how overwhelming it is to start a new RPG. There are so many game mechanics to understand. A big reason why I decided to play Persona 4 was because I already had a keen grasp on the mechanics before I started.

Persona 1 tosses so much at you immediately. Those were the days before RPGs layered stuff on the player, so they could slowly grasp the systems.

I know this is how Persona "began", but i'm more of a P3 onwards person, so i'm pretty sure i won't like this as much ..

Yea, that QL killed my interest in Persona 1. I never played it way back(but P3 and 4 had me very excited), but I was not at all intrigued or impressed by the premise and systems seen here. The battle conversation system just looks so arbitrary and impenetrable. The thought of spending equal time grinding for XP AND guessing through whatever emotive options for monster cards is a process I'll happilly pass on.

Yeah, I think that quick look may have sold me on the game. I played Persona when it first came out, but never really took any interest in the PSP release. It'd be weird going back to random battles though. Not particularly excited about that bit.

looks really fun. Did Lost Planet ever get a PS3 release? How was it? I love snow, and the mechanics seen in this QL, so I ask you: is Lost Planet 1 PS3 for me?

lost planet isn't as much a work of art as Dead rising, but its damn close.

I thought Lost Planet looked amazing. I'm downloading the demo of the first one off steam now although I don't think they are too similar given some of the comments in the video. Is it coming to PC like the first one?
