So... it actually looks like they had some really cool ideas for the game. It just looks like after the planning stages they decided to develop it in whatever sony used for Home.

alright real time worlds, you had your fun for awhile. now get working on a proper crackdown3
MS gave Crackdown to Ruffian, who opened up across down the street from RTW with about half of their former employees.

sorry I know the K&L thing is played out by now, especially with it looking like 2 might be good, but I just couldn't help myself :lol

Kane and Lynch 2 looks surprisingly good, outside of the poor animation for falling down. That got repetitive in the first thirty seconds, it just doesn't match the visual quality of everything else.

I don't know about this game. It just doesn't have the hook for me that says this is a game I have to play. The effects are nice and the MP seems interesting but that's about it. I think the effects a pretty much just there to cover up how this game is not up to par with other third person shooters and mechanically this game looks like nothing I have not seen at least half a dozen times before.

I don't know, I see a repeating pattern in the way the camera moves about when the dude runs. I think it'd make me sick after 30 minutes of playing myself.

Then again, without the fake-amateur-instability, the game has that cool post-processing and that's it. At least as far as I can tell. So it really comes down to the story / pacing etc. Either that is really awesome or it doesn't work for me.

So when's Jeff getting fired let go this time around? :lol

Yeah, if the story is not awesome this game does not seem worth playing.

Does the camera shake when Lynch is running make anyone else a little dizzy?

EDIT: You can turn it off that's good.

I finally got around to visit the site :lol

That is amazing, I went to it right after I heard them joking about it on the podcast and was astonished to find a real web page already constructed, complete with Russian Martian Batman, Green Lantern Batman and of course Regular-Ass Batman. I love the internet.

Is it just me or has anyone else also experiencing massive problems loading videos at Giant Bomb? It's driving me insane.

Firefox 4 beta doesn't seem to play nice with the whiskey sites.

No for me. And I'm about halfway around the earth. Is it just the videos?

Sometimes DNS entries are outdated on some servers. Maybe it has to do with that. Try choosing a different DNS (some public one) or flush your DNS cache.

My router sometimes drops DNS packets because of some weird hardware problem, but only from specific regions (had that problem with 1UP for a long time; everytime I visited them, my internet connection was unusable for 15 minutes unless I rebooted my router).

Also, try both Streaming / Progressive. Some people seem to experience issues with Streaming. Upper left in the video before you click 'Play'.

When is this "joke" going to dry out?
Never.

K&L needed a sequel? it always seemed to me that these characters are the most profoundly unlikeable characters ever to appear in any form of media and why would I want to see them again?

Part of the "charm" behind the game. It's a crime story, and as Jeff said it's not an anti-hero or bad dude turning good story. It's just a crime story.

I get it, but it doesn't matter what kind of game it is if I hate the characters. they're just ugly and horrible and vile with nothing good about them... I don't need to spend my time or money on that.

you can have evil characters who aren't such a drag.

me too, it kinda made me dizzy at one point but i'm very very interested in this game now.
The style looks like nothing else out there, but yeah the sick-cam could be a bit of a problem for extended plays. Luckily I have ADD!

I don't know if props is the right word, seeing as though Brad seems to take it as evidence that Jon St John is completely broke.
That's not what I got from that part, and it wouldn't make sense after all.
It's a free game made by completely unpaid volunteers just for fun, using it as evidence for someone being broke (or the opposite) would be a bit of a stretch.

I agree that it shouldn't be used that way, but Brad said that he took the fact that he's doing Dudebro as evidence that he's hit hard times.
