This looks like a mess. I can't even tell what is going on in this video. The whole screen just looks like a blur of grey, and that flashing red when hit indicator is way too obtrusive.
Play the demo yet? Please tell me yes.

You should download the demo. People are raving about it in the demo thread.

Yep took me a couple of time until I got the mechanics down, but now I also think the game is awesome. It also looks really cool.

It's looks very very busy and not in a good way.

Anyone here with Firefox able to watch videos on Giant Bomb?

Works fine for me on 3.6.8, I hear people have problems with the new beta though. Also, I don't think adblock plays nice with their player

Was there a game room QL this week?
Jeff being gone at the Reach thing and then PAX prep prevented them from doing one this week, but there will be two next week.

Edit: beaten :(

Where was Game Room this week? And it has been some time since we saw a WoW:Cata video :|

edit: Lol didn't refresh the thread before posting

Two out of the four games are just plain broken. That's low, even for MS.
Realistically, an engineer can spend about two hours on one game, otherwise, it doesn't make sense financially. Which leads to shitty implementations of control schemes, obviously. From here on out, since Game Room isn't a glowing success, it'll be a shitfest mostly until they seriously turn the boat around. Which would mean getting to home computers, late 80s arcade hardware and stuff.

It won't happen though. MS isn't great at taking risks. This story is over unless a miracle happens.

I agree… BUT the counterpoint from the consumer POV is that when a company releases broken shit like this and expects people to pay for it with actual dollars, then some portion of those consumers end up dismissing the entire endeavour.

I happen to be of the mindset that if you can’t do something right, don’t do it at all. it does more harm than good.

It's kinda too late for that.

well, yeah, but I meant for specific games. there’s no reason for MS to release Concentration with its shit control layout and charge 3 bucks for it.

other games - games that are not essentially broken - are fair game.

as for the service. noble intentions but poor publisher support doomed it. a shame. thank heavens for the quick looks.

The Checkers game was even worse when it had to TURN OFF THE SCREEN TO CALCULATE THE NEXT MOVE.

To be honest, I think Vanquish looks awful.

To be honest it plays great.

@ ∀ Narayan: Just watch the video you ar enot getting spoiled in any way. They only play 10 minutes and that means they don#t even complete the level. The part they show is also right after the demo we got ends.

Jesus, Game Room was even more depressing than usual. It´s actually fascinating to see that apparently still about 200 people bought Concentration. Those sound effects sounded like pure shit.

It's really sad how MS half asses potentially great stuff like this. I never bought a thing in gameroom, but they talked up a big game and I would have been interested if they had more than some awful atari shit.
