It wasn't bad in the least, but it tanked hard enough that my Intro to Game Development professor (who is one of the 15 or so people left out of over a hundred at what's now called THQ Digital Phoenix) glossed over it when talking about what games he's worked on. :lol
Poor Rainbow. :(

from the QL , it's nice lil tech demo , but no , it don't worth the $10 imo , actually nothing I saw in the QLs worth it's price or the Disc release, again Sports Champions lacks features ( online ) and has few mini games and should be like $20 or less , Start the Party is bad Eyetoy Play clone with few mini games , Kung Fu Rider is also the same.

Coming from the man who, as far as I can tell, hasn't played any of these, correct?

Ok so it would be an interesting story for the other 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of people who don't care enough about the game to read the developer's blog.
Certainly! It's not Giant Bomb's job to relay dev blogposts though. So they don't.

That's more like Kotaku territory or whatever.

Part of Giant Bomb's job is to report on video game news. Half their front page is dedicated to news.

Every last PC game is pirated, usually within a few days of release, if not before. It's a terrible thing, but it shouldn't be unexpected.
Well it is a bit unexpected when it's done by a reviewer. That was my disgust part. :p

They've discovered the game after the internet was buzzing about it, about a week after that blogpost. It wasn't news anymore at that point.

Generally speaking, their focus is mainstream with a strong emphasis on console stuff. If you want indie-friendly PC news, there's other sites, like tigsource or RPS, for instance. Or Kotaku, a site that posts everything that's not welded to the ground.

Giant Bomb didn't even mention the Humble Indie Bundle, which was a much bigger deal.

I mean, I understand you wanting your favorite site to focus their attention on things that interest you, and if you want to give an impulse, feel free to contact them. I applaud the intent, wouldn't expect too much though. They're plenty busy as it is after all.

Uh huh, and you realize most Xbox360 games are leaked weeks before they are released, and pirated way more? For example, NBA 2k11 was leaked a couple of days ago and is due to be released on October 5th.

Unfair for us who buy games, and now we have to wait, while pirates get to play early, but it isn't just on PC.

None of that has anything to do with what he said

It's not really unfair to you, its unfair to the people who make the games. If someone robs a bank I'm not saying "hey that's unfair, I had to work for my money!".

They would have had to play much, much longer for that.

There is no way for its atmosphere to come across in a QL anyway. Not with two people talking, even less so with three. Not to mention that watching someone get scared (or hearing it) is just funny, to me at least. Horror games are not long for Quick Looks.

could've gone for 10 min more. i didn't get a good grasp of what the puzzles would be like either. they spent more time with Cryostasis. i almost wanted to get it but other than collecting diary pieces and the shadow/lantern espect, didn't really see much that interested me. maybe Dave could've loaded a later save with one monster or something.

It's unfair when publishers refuse to release games on the PC due to piracy concerns when the practice is just as prevalent on the consoles.

Using the banking analogy, it would be like refusing to issue you a credit card because a large group of people in your neighborhood can't make their payments on time. And on top of that, they have no problems issuing cards to people in another neighborhood with the same problem.

It's more like the other neighborhood is a lot bigger and they can charge higher rates over there and it's riskier to not make payments in that other neighborhood.

Well, Dave said he got one hour into the game and got scared. They could have made the QL from that time onwards.

still kinda weird they were rushed to finish up the QL. oh well, i'll probably see if there are any Let's Plays out there.

The dashboard they are showing, CAN NOT be navigated with the Kinect. It is only the Kinect Hub (a seperate dashboard for Kinect use). Which they seemed a bit confused over when talking about the speed of navigation with the controller dashboard.

wat

its a dashboard for kinect use that you cant navigate with kinect? then what does it have to do with kinect and how is it for kinect use?

(not saying you are wrong just confused)

That's not true at all. Searching for torrents of any multi-platform game proves you wrong.

Yes that title will show up as Wii, XBOX360 and PC.

But to the avarage joe pirating is "hard" so console gamers dont do it as much.

And why talk about this here?
