How could someone not love the inane Piscopo mugging, the “tell joke” menu item, the short 4 frame loops all over the place, even the hard drive requirements line.

classic QL, all around, with an amazing ending

None of it was particularly funny. Hell, I even thought the game was quite good for something that come out in 1995 on PC. The ending really made the whole thing worth it though.

It looks overly mechanical, I find the multiplayer setup intriguing though. Maybe there's more to it, I don't know. "Sent to die" seems overly harsh to me.

Yeah, maybe. I'm just not seeing it. It looks stiff, with subpar animation and collision detection. The gunplay seems pretty bad. It looks just like Front Mission's on-foot missions.


If they can make the Geist/Messiah thing work in an interesting way in the SP campaign... maybe I'll switch my tune. But I doubt it.

Yeah, the bolded part is probably what'll prevent it from being anything special.

If you have shooting in your game, it better be fucking awesome. That's been the bottom line for quite a long time. Weird they haven't figured that out.
