Visually it's quite nice but the gameplay looks boring and the combat looks extremely weak and flat.
The perfect analogy would be Shinen's Jett Rocket, but I have at least some technological appreciation for JR since it's on Wii and only 40MB.

they are trying to fix it today. to work around the problem with internet explorer go to tools, developer tools then in the window that pops up click disable and select script.

It's fixed now.

Too many snooze quick looks this week. Must be due to a lack of Vinny. Still waiting for their Ghost Trick quick look. The LittleBigPlanet 2 one was pretty alright despite the wide variety of LBP1 levels that it contains, but other than that it's been a slow and boring week.

More like no releases + Monday not working.

Seven minutes into a half hour Quick Look:

'I fucking hate this game. I fucking hate it. I hate it."

This should be fun.

It's funny cause that's the point where he misses the fact he's meant to be running away from this situation. I guess it's fair enough cause he's concentrating on talking to Jeff and the game doesn't tell him in any way beside the character saying it. But I don't think he was meant to be in that encounter for as long as he was.

Maybe I'm just not as jaded/cynical but I don't think the game looks that bad. The always on online stuff seems really cool, been wanting to see games do things like that for a while.

QUICK LOOK IS A SUCCESS! :D

In other news: Where ar my new Quick Looks? :(

I kinda expected at least to get a Dead Space 2 one today.

According to Jeff's twitter (three hours ago) a live QL of Dead Space will be happening "soonish." So that's something to look forward to.

I think it's been and gone.

saving the council ? why anyone want to do this ? and iirc (Please correct me, if I am mistaken) in ME2 if you don't have a save on 360 letting them die was actually the canon.

if you don't have a save file, the default choice is renegade for every decision like this.

canon does not exist in the ME universe

Casey Hudson has gone out of his way mention that the only 'real' story is the one you choose. You create the canon, there is no one official Mass Effect story. That defeats the purpose of the game.

you save the council because bioware will either write them as hilarious characters like Turian Chancellor or not write them at all (like if you don't save the council in me1) and either way it will have zero impact on the story because they always have a lame alternative ready, you're welcome

Yet some choices are automatically made for you if you don't have a Mass Effect 1 save. Renegade too, which is kind of a bummer.

I would assume this implies that Bioware were trying to incentivise people to play ME1 to alter the fates of certain key-characters rather than specifically implying a true narrative path through ME1.

Mass Effect 3 default Shepard probably didn't complete any loyalty missions, never woke up Grunt, sold Legion, entire team and crew died except for him and Joker.

that's assuming any of that will even effect the ME3 story in any meaningful way

hi i'm garrus's brother, gradius, i know my brother was your friend and i'd just like to let you know that i'm a sniper too, need any help?

shepard it turns out that cerberus was already developing this technology, but your choice at the end of me2 gave them +/- 20HP

The real truth is all of your choices don't mean shit. Save the council or not? Result is the same in ME2. Killed Alicia or that other guy? Result the same. Killed Wrex? Who cares? The differences amount to no more than window dressing, and no impact on the overall plot. It was all handled pretty poorly in my opinion. I would have much rather had less choices, but ones that actually impacted the game in a meaningful way. I saved the council in ME1 and they just ignore me in ME2? That doesn't even make sense! It's not at all consistent with their previous actions.

Hrm, they lied on the Bombcast - no Breach QL.

It's too bad if the game really is horrible... they went from doing the Fallujah game to that, so... I take it that was Atomic's last chance.

And yeah, there may be good parts to ME, but the story and story-consequences aren't it. Ultimately, the story boils down to how your bald space marine is as good as Master Chief.

Welcome to the real world where time, money and manpower limits the amount of content a game can have. Yes, it would be nice if every choice you made had dramatic, game changing effects but that's not going to happen unless you personally give Bioware an extra $20 million.

http://www.nbc.com/chuck/video/chuck-vs.-the-gobbler/1274743 3 minutes in you can see the Miranda chick. Should've been a white costume.
