DS? They are perfectly fine for a slow and methodical game, and way more complex than MASH X TO WINNNNNNNNNN. The game even has a system to queue up button presses. Find me another RPG that comes close to being that tight and responsive.

Queueing up button presses is sort of the exact opposite of responsive.

Haha calm down bud, just referring to the jokes they make when they are trying to piss people off.

Quick Look: Bulletstorm (53:00 min.) (Jeff / Ryan / Vinny / Brad)

after watching my fair share of quick looks, i get the feeling that if this game was developed, published, and marketed by anyone else, it would be ripped apart by them for.. "trying too hard to be cool", "douchy", "shallow", "repetitive", "poor AI", ... ultimately, all the things they will say during the eventual Duke Nukem Forever quick look.

To be honest I am pretty sure they said at least a few of those things when the game was initially unveiled at E3 or wherever.

yeah, it's a shame he played it so plainly. he barely even slid and that's basically the only REAL way to move.

Ehh.. that shit is on purpose :p. Plus it's developed by the people behind Painkiller with help from Epic Games, not the other way around.

And how could he miss that drop ship around 3:50? LOL :P

Were we watching the same video? Jeff seemed down on about everything the game had to offer. Shut up and quit acting like you're somehow a victim in their terrible reign of entertaining internet videos.

Jeff didn't seem down on the game except for cursing and the ammo thing which he both kept trying to make into an issue while simultaneously admitting it was kinda his fault and the game gives you options for it.

Heck, on his Twitter he's saying that he's finding the game to be "pretty great."

Good! He gave it a chance before completely trashing or praising it. He didn't seem to like any of the story/setup/cursing, he wasn't a fan of how ammo is handled (and was negative toward that multiple times in the video), and didn't seem to think the core idea of the game was all that fun. I came away from the quick look thinking that he was incredibly mild toward the whole game.

Not to mention the cursing and general tone, both of which were at best shrugged off as a kind of a bummer and not in fact praised because Giant Bomb apparently has a bias toward Epic.

They need to do more Quick Look Throwbacks. And possibly an endurance run of an older, much shorter game like Jeff mentioned, if they had time for such a thing. Love watching them play old games.

well, the Dirt 3 'quick-look' was rather awesome, can't wait to attempt some of those freestyle Ken Block drift-things!

That car playground reminded me of one of those Rush games back on the N64, 2049 I think it was. There was a level in multiplayer that my friend and I would spend hours just messing around in with the tons of ramps and stuff everywhere.

Oooh it was so nice to see how they gradually discovered how cool this game is. The Stronghold games are absolutely classics. I played them back in the day. I guess they were more popular here in Europe.

They need to do a QL of The Last Express if they end up doing that.
Do want. Anything with old adventure games would be great.

QL throwback or that one feature that I won't name since they insist they aren't doing another one anytime soon :(

Get out of here, Stalker.

Brad said some odd things in the BG&E QL. How it's strange a game like this would be digital and trying to think of game's he'd like to see get the same HD treatment, as if he is unaware that this is not the first HD port.

Haven't watched the QL yet, but do they talk about it like they did on Happy Hour and the Bombcast NDX where they acted like it had been "updated" more than than just running at a higher resolution like the PC version?

As far as I remember they mention re-built character models, re-done water effects and cleaned up sounds. That was it really, some things like music still stop and start suddenly rather than transitioning.
